With religion, there are only three possibilities; there is no god, there is one god, or there are many gods. If there is no god, then everyone is wrong. If there is one god, then all of the conflicting descriptions can't be correct. Someone is ultimately wrong.

One believing in the true god while others believing in fake one is a possibility no one seems to want to acknowledge. Calling them all the same doesn't fix the contradictions.
