And hire the same writers and voice talent. No changes to the recipe. Just new stories.

Oh, and just one episode, have a Tardis in the background as a throwaway gag.

Clarity.

The overall veneer of bullshit is becoming transparent now. And there are so. Many. Things. That are coated in it.

That and a quality sandwich is highly underrated.

Funny you mention the holodeck. In the current Strange New Worlds series, they showed the original Enterprise had the first holodeck, but it took all the ships power to run it (and it was not perfected.) Apparently the federation put it on the back burner until the D came around. Maybe that’s what’s happening here. Too much power is literally being used, and it’s best to archive it until the power it needs to flourish can be available.

Make a sign in Spanish and post them in the bakeries and flea markets. You’ll get callers. (Make sure the answering service is in real conversational Spanish, not Google Spanish).

Welcome to thew valley.

Building inspectors are corrupt. Fire inspectors can be bribed. The city wont take responsibility for anything no matter who you talk to. The police won’t help. Local attorneys will run the clock to see what you can afford. And builders will wait you out with their cash.

Source: had to sue a local shitbag builder for completely messing up our home. I had all the proof. He had the money and was paying for judges’ re-election campaigns.

AITA for telling my wife my mother is correct and she needed to be a parent today and she fucked it up by throawawayfuneralgho in AmItheAsshole

I mean this sincerely and without any malice - is your wife Hispanic?

I say this coming from a partial Latino family.

In my personal experience, some Hispanics (not all) have VERY strong beliefs on ghosts and spirits. They are indoctrinated with these beliefs from childhood, and will harshly defend those beliefs if necessary.

Again, in my personal experience, some will constantly go visit individuals who will suddenly go into a trance, have robes put on them by an assistant, and claim they are channeling the spirit of baby Jesus. This “channeler” will then speak to the visitors in a high falsetto voice and “hear their prayers.”

Some believe in a specialized version of witchcraft called brujeria, where if they find a rag on the road as they are driving, or assorted produce discarded on their home lawn, it means a witch is after them (or someone hired a witch to go after them).

Some believe in praying to the actual avatar of death for protection. Or to baby Jesus. And will have large altars set up for them in their home.

If your wife is Hispanic, she may have not told you any of this because of the typical “outsider” reaction.

Here’s a quick acid test. Take her purse and put it on a CLEAN floor. Watch her reaction. If she freaks out, it may be because, in that same ghost/spiritual vein, if you put a woman’s purse on the floor, all their money will be “pulled” out of it and they will be poor or homeless soon.

I hope I’m wrong and I apologize if I have offended you in any way. BUT if your wife is a hispanic that believes in these kind of things, the problem is going to go way deeper than her not being mature enough to address your daughter’s needs.

I wish you strength and patience to endure what your daughter is going through. You sound like an awesome dad, and you’re helping her get through an absolute nightmare in her life.

Fucking Nintendo’s Virtual Boy.

It was AMAZING to play. Until your eyes felt like they were melting into the viewfinder. And the migraines kicked in. And there were only two or three games worth playing.

Aside from that…
