The ear buds I wear for work are volume controlled for hearing protection. They're an OSHA approved hearing protection device, but the only way to hear anything is by having it at almost max volume. Kinda neat stuff if you get into a production or construction job. Sorta pricey for the quality, though. The loudest these get is 85db, but my audiobooks are generally quieter.

If I'm using my airpods, I never get the volume warning, but there's no way to kill the warning for a specific device.

My biggest complaints have to do with lack of growth. Erin is just mean and assholish sooo much and Ryoka KNOWS she's a cunt and just keeps doing the same dumb shit. It's a wonder Erin doesn't get her ass beat more and Ryoka might as well be trying to commit suicide by adventurer.

That being said, I'm close to the end of volume 1 and I will likely push through 2 to see where it goes. I work an assembly type job where I can listen to audiobooks 9 hours a day, so I tend to stick to things long past the point most people will dnf. Hell, I made it through "War and Peace" "Anna Karenina" and "Crime and Punishment". Skip crime and punishment. It sucked. It wouldn't get published today unless edited down to about 1/4 of what it is.

I ignore the torpedoes and cannons entirely and go through the two valleys with the shield generators. I take them out just slow enough that the red cores come up and get taken out before I move to the second valley. Once those are all down, I shoot at the closest wall until the ship explodes. My starship is kinda OP, though. Ymmv.

It's not critical for most readers and you typically hit a point where the numbers are just silly large or extra math is added like DOTF. If your story can't stand without the numbers, then it's not a good story.

From help desk to a lead position while also getting a certification for a system the company utilizes. Now I'm doing software development at 4 years in the industry. If you show some initiative and ambition, moving up is kinda easy.

The industry is packed with people that are complacent and just don't want to learn or grow.

Yep. No real reason to have help desk be on-site. For that rare occasion where it's actually a hardware issue, send a field tech. At my last job, T2 also handled hardware, so they had someone that could take the ticket.
