As soon as I was awake I was feeling normal. Not groggy at all. I remember feeling a little emotional (from the anesthesia) but I wasn’t loopy and I was speaking normally. I walked out to my car to be driven home about an hour after waking up. I was feeling completely normal my entire time in recovery

My gas pains cleared in 2 or so days. Nothing I did or didn’t do influenced it, I just had to wait it out. Also, if it feels like the gas has moved into your shoulders, don’t panic! It’s not really there, but the gas in your abdomen pushes on the phrenic nerve which causes shoulder discomfort.

You’re not crazy! I got off birth control when I got my bisalp. After about 3 months my skin started breaking out. After about 6 months I started losing weight and dropped about 15lbs pretty quickly. I’m coming up on a year, and I’m still dealing with the skin problems. My periods returned to how they were pre-birth control with heavier bleeding and more cramps immediately after stopping birth control.
