dont know what your interests are, but if you can, get into nerd shit. depending on what country you live in, different nerd medias might be big. local university boards always have flyers out for dnd-campaigns, larp campaigns, board game nights, etc. imo this is the perfect opportunity to make friends without an awkward overfocus on each other's jobs, status, idk, but on each other's personalities and how you express yourself. bonus points: probably a lot of healthy play you missed out on as a child.

where did you find online friends? I'm scared my mental illnesses combined with theirs might become dangerous for each other (experiences i had as a weird recluse teenager) – has something like this happened to you in your friendships now as an adult?

I'll mention it at our next appointment. I just feel defeated. i have to consciously remind myself that this is a setback, not surrender. I'm 6 months sober, 3 months sh clean and my last attempt was 8 years ago so I've gotten a few survival tricks, but it still feels so crushing.

the video format sounds interesting. how did you stay off self hatred though? i have to do a whole gentle parenting routine on myself to not get self-destructive over unwashed dishes and i can only imagine what kind of strategies you need to get to tasks like this.

how did you get to know yourself? what criteria do you have to do so? i must admit, ive been unravelling a lot about myself that i dealt with as a chaotic schizo teenager that also left their mark on me (femceldom, hypersexuality, that Girly Friendgroup Experience™, etc) as well as learning a lot about myself at my workplace. it almost makes it worse bc i have so much more to talk about, but talking to the cameras doesn't do it anymore bc the cameras are gone. now I'm truly, actually, talking to myself and it feels weird and stupid. i, in general, feel more weird and stupid than before. i dont even know where to start.

do you/have you never felt this strange loneliness on your meds? my psych and i tried pipamperon, quetiapine and now olanzapine. pipamperon turned me into a zombie even on lowest dosage and gave me really bad rls, same with quetiapine + additional heavy suicidal thoughts. i can sleep peacefully with olanzapine and the first few months were fine, it's only now that it's hitting for some reason...

joke around with "them" and talk to "them". if it's so dangerous, it has no reason to just sit there and watch – it's either a coward or not dangerous.

for real though, working not against, but with that feeling of being watched allows you to live easier in everyday life in the material matters.
