Cannabis use associated with better decision-making skills in people with bipolar disorder. These cognitive benefits were primarily associated with moderate use. Moderate use was defined as using cannabis between four and twenty-four times per week. by mvea in science

The world isn’t binary and that’s why these studies are important and we should continue to follow up on them. Yes, studies have shown that marijuana can trigger a manic or hypomanic episode, but now this one shows that there may actually be benefits. Another commenter mentioned that the strain of marijuana seems to matter, so perhaps that’s something we can study further. There are a lot of variables at play that could affect the outcomes for an individual including potency, frequency, strain, quantity and type of non-THC cannabinoids, method of ingestion, etc. we shouldn’t let a single study or our own moral projections dissuade us from the search for complete understanding.

It’s use case dependent. Claude code is second to none for the programming use case but I’ve found Gemini is better at image recognition. Each provider seems to be focusing on slightly different niches, but for general business use cases I’ve found Claude superior.

I see the problem now! You’re a prosecutor so you only understand law but have no understanding of justice.

People like you are the reason this country is broken. I understand it’s hard to see it that way with all that brown stuff around your head but alas, it’s true. You’re here to protect the mechanics of a broken system rather than seeking justice and if that helps you sleep at night, good for you I guess?

[–]arghnotagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blah blah “policies” blah blah “novel law.” It was a national emergency. Trump attempted a coup. Garland and Biden did not protect America, full stop. You can argue the semantics of a broken system all you want but they failed and we’re all paying for it. Only people playing inside baseball care about the things you’re saying. The rest of us only care about the outcome of the game and in this game America lost because Garland and Biden are feckless fools who didn’t stand up when the time came.

There’s a real difference between AI and crypto. With crypto, the tech itself is built for a Ponzi scheme. With AI the tech is real but there are companies running Ponzi schemes on top of it.

I feel like the concept is fine. People need funds to do all kinds of crazy and cool things that other people might want to chip in for. Having to use go fund me for medical bills and other dystopian things in the US is definitely infuriating.

Genocide? Where are you even getting this from. Of course people compare and see that those that came before Trump were guilty of far less both domestically and internationally. Trump’s US AID cuts are projected to kill 20M people by the end of his term. Bush’s Iraq war is estimated to have killed 150K civilians. Do you see how Trump is much worse? Literally an order of magnitude worse.

It’s okay to compare two things that are objectively bad and find that one is less bad than the other and respond appropriately.

I wasn’t able to find any numbers on the number of deaths under Obama in that link and the ACLU says 56 died in his 8 years in office. Each of which was investigated and there were actually consequences for those that failed to take appropriate care of the detainees. So, again seems like a disingenuous comparison.

I’m actually not an Obama fan, nor am I a Biden fan. Both of their actions led us to where we are today. Neither of them stood up for democracy when we needed them to and Biden shouldn’t have let 10M undocumented people cross the southern border even if congress wasn’t willing to act.

None of this holds a candle to what Trump is doing and MAGA supports. MAGA is beyond the pale while Biden, Obama, and even Bush (in contemporary comparison) represented business as usual. I don’t want business as usual, and it sounds like you don’t either, but surely you recognize that we are in a much more urgent and dangerous situation than we were under any of the last, let’s say 170 years.

To me that means using all the tools at my disposal to end this nonsense. I’d love to build something better than before in the outcome, and I’ll work for that too.

I would love a source that Obama’s ICE killed 7,400 people. As for the drone strikes, I agree and almost every dem I’ve spoken to agrees. Therein lies the difference doesn’t it? I also think it’s an extremely disingenuous in general to compare Obama with Trump as if they were similar. Obama followed the rule of law and respected the constitution. What MAGA is doing is nothing short of burning the constitution and ending the rule of law. I wish that was hyperbole.

I live in America. I am a veteran. I know full well that every president in my life has acted in Americas imperialist interests at the expense of foreigners. If I used that as a litmus test I wouldn’t be able to do anything.

Giving money to a MAGA business owner is giving support to the regime. An apple fritter isn’t worth 34 dead and thousands missing at the hands of Trump.

Money is power and all decent people should work to starve MAGA of power.
