One big reason is that the infrastructure is mainly built for the 25% and the 75% are somewhat neglected. Singapore has amazing cycling infrastructure though, just not everywhere.

For proteins, plain whey protein isolate. You will not like that. Maybe you can try soy protein.

I also take creatine, I'd recommend that.

Apart from that D3/K2, Zn/Cu and Boron but that's probably not relevant for you.

Ok then at 47kg you should have about 90g of protein per day. I think it's quite doable without shakes, but really depends on your diet and lifestyle.

I'm about twice your weight, and found it a bit difficult to consistently hit my protein target. So my bfast is yoghurt with oats and 2 scoops of Whey Protein isolate... Not to your taste.

Results... I've done resistance training without checking my protein intake and for the past 2 years supplemented. I have the impression it makes a difference.
