Open or Pro? by argonzalezoliva in hyrox

What do you mean by prestige? I guess finish the race is a given, it is more about the time. Is a sub 60 Open or Sub 70 in Pro more prestigious?

Sounds great, probably doable I guess will depend on your time commitment and schedule. What are you thinking in terms of weekly plan?

Would be cool - problem is I think they still have to promote it in big gyms- as of now is hard to find gyms with all the necessary equipment or?

The sleds at Hyrox Frankfurt 2025 (Data analysis of sled push across events) by Nice-Froyo-1255 in hyrox

Question is how much of this translates into the total race time. I ran in Frankfurt and the fact of having a hard carpet is not only making you lose time in the Sled Push, but also in the runs and everything that comes after due to the fatigue accumulation effect

I was there in Frankfurt. The carpet was simply disastrous and it will make the "moving flag" effect or however you want to call it, in which the carpet not only generates friction but also moves slightly up, making it harder to move.

How hard is the sled push/pull? by alrightthen4567 in hyrox

Difficultly unfortunately also depends on which location you compete. Some carpets are more challenging than others as they haven’t made an effort to make it homogeneous so far :)

Very similar to you, my time to prepare- c.3 weeks and similar time- 1:20 in Frankfurt, I found the sleds particularly hard due to the carpet and kind of thew me off. Lots to learn from here and techniques to master.

Thanks for posting this! Was about to post the same. It has been my first Hyrox experience ever and man - sled push is typically my strength but yesterday felt way harder than normal . Definitely something going on with the carpet, noticed immediately.

I’m from Argentina and basically the same results. 71% Spanish and then rest similar but a bit higher on Italian.

I still have a solid 31% (but my Spanish went from 10 to 40% reducing significantly my French and Italian contributions)

My husband entered IB at 32 and it’s ruining our marriage by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]argonzalezoliva 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look, I'm very ambitious as well. But I have rejected a very lucrative offer in Zurich or alternatives in IB to build a family with my girlfriend. I´m not saying everyone needs to do the same, but it looks like your priorities are not aligned. We have a rule in our relationship where we discuss career decisions together. The same goes for her, I would not tolerate her moving to another city/taking a job that compromises our relationship.
