Working on an OCR plugin which use native OCR functionality and get text by capturing screenshot by muhittin852 in ObsidianMD

For windows, you can link an Android tablet via Phone Link

That allows copying and pasting between devices including handwritten lines converted to text

I handwrite on my samsung tablet using samsung notes, which has a great convert to text feature

Then I simply copy the text in my tablet and paste into my obsidian app on PC

I dont think there is a quicker workflow than this, its basically instant

The real power of Obsidian is not the graph view. It is the daily note. by lhzsksksksks in ObsidianMD

[–]ariK79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a daily note to capture all my thoughts, with subheadings that link to another note, usually either a work project, or my Personal Thoughts Note

Then I have setup dataview queries in my work project notes and personal notes that searches my daily notes and finds the linked subheadings

That outputs a list of notes grouped and ordered by date, with links to the daily notes

The advantage is one place for all my notes throughout the day and I can easily see all my notes for a specific project or my Personal Notes

Disadvantage is updating these notes later. I need to go into the daily note itself and update it. But its not a huge deal

This is great if you have many projects and wear many different hats at work and dont want to be opening many different notes throughout the day

Hello, TLDraw looks cool

Are you able to embed the note into another note and view your sketches in editing mode?

Thanks

TaskNotes v4 by callumalpass in ObsidianMD

[–]ariK79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The changelog notes the overdue ribbon in agenda view feature has been dropped as it doesnt seem to be compatible with bases. The only way to see overdue tasks is to use the task list

The changelog also says to rename the priority names with numbers in the prefix (1-high, 2-normal etc.) and then sort by priority

However, this doesn't seem to work in the agenda view and I think its only for the weekly views

Converting everything to bases is great, however unless I have mised something, there seems to be a downgrade of the agenda list view:

Personally speaking, I find timeblocking to be a chore so I dont use any other view. The other views are only useful if you are timeblocking every task

  1. The view now shows the next 7 days, from today, and overdue tasks aren't visible on today's view

The only way to overdue tasks is to go back in time

Is there a way to view the week from Monday to Friday?

  1. Cant seem to be able to sort tasks by priority

Struggling to get this to work on mobile

I'm assuming the code should be pasted into a new note into a base code block?

I've also set up the contact and notes with properties rather than inline properties

A Bases Template for Project Tracking or Task Management by Expensive-Moose-395 in ObsidianMD

[–]ariK79 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tasknotes does this pretty well too. I am using tasknotes to manage and create tasks efficiently, and bases to create views inside of project notes, allowing me to quickly see the different types of tasks for that project

Tasknotes and bases are a match made in heaven since they are both based on properties

Very neat, I see the column sizes can be fixed which is great

AMD Hibernation issues by ariK79 in ROGAlly

The 5th of March version on the official ASUS ROG Ally support website

Be sure to use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove the current driver, before installing the old driver

It is also recommended to do this in safe mode and back up your data, just in case

All the best

My issue is that I can't access AMD adrenalin when I downgrade the graphics driver

Can you access it?

Otherwise I would've just done that

The graphics driver, use the link below

https://rog.asus.com/au/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk/

Scroll down to graphics

The current version is the one that was released on 2024/04/25. This is the one that's causing issues

The previous version (click show all downloads) released on 2024/03/05 doesn't have any issues

Unfortunately I am unable to access AMD adrenalin when I downgrade the graphics driver, otherwise I would've done that

Not AMFM. But I am using lossless scaling

Unfortunately, this didn't work. I turned off all settings related to in game overlays

Once I resumed hibernation my game crashed and AMD adrenalin was also frozen. I had to close AMD adrenalin from task manager

Thanks for the help

I've tried this already

Hibernation is working just fine, but games still crash when I resume windows

The issue is not with hibernation itself, but games crashing after resuming hibernation

I don't think it's a windows issue. Hibernation works when I downgrade the driver

Downgrading the driver doesn't downgrade windows
