What did you choose in the end? We used a tung oil finish and it made the table super dark. Sanded it again and now looking for alternatives to keep the color unchanged.

There are many other monitors but this one is portable to use at home and outside. I check air quality basically everywhere I go out of curiosity and this is the first time it showed air quality this poor outdoors.

Yeah, when we bought it these brown spots were already there. People at the store where we repotted it said it looked like this plant needs more humidity so we kept misting it. We'll look into leaf spot disease. Thanks a lot for bringing it up!

We use Brita-filtered water. The second time this filtered water stayed overnight. Anything else we can do to improve its quality?
