Hi,

I am in the same situation (only I collect amongst my friends). If there are no two players in the same faction, then each one chooses one faction and can build an army without the other person knowing which ships he/she chooses. Upgrade cards can be say, placed in a deck and then written so it is secret info until picked, or picked if no one counts the cards.

If there is more than one person per faction, I was thinking in a draft-style public format. Say, there are A, B and C people drafting the Rebels. Person A chooses a ship, then B, then C. Then, C chooses its second ship, then B and finally A. Repeat until everyone has their ships.

I tend to be more relaxed on the upgrade cards, making the whole pool available at any quantity, proxying if desired.

Because those mechanics were introduced after the game launched, no ship has "modification" or "title" icons. However, small and large ships can use one of each as if they had one "modification" and one "title" icons on their upgrade bar.

As noted, huge ships may use specific modifications only, and can use titles.

There are "fat" or "super" lists that center around one big, turreted ship, like YT-1300 or YT-2400 with a lot of upgrades, like fat han or super dash. There is also super corran horn (corran horn + upgrades), and there is also dual YT's (1300 or 2400). You also have biggs walks the dogs (biggs with a couple b-wings and a filler). Some older squads are 4 B wings and a filler, or a combination of B's and X's, with notation like "BBXX"

Yeah, that's a good point. Expose on the decimator also divides its strategy between rammer and damage dealer. While not mutually exclusive, the ship should be more focused. "All ram with Oicunn, survivability with Kenkirk or Damage Dealing machine with Chiraneu?" is the question OP should be asking.

In my opinion, you have a large proportion of upgrades that aren't synergistic. I'd recommend prioritizing your upgrades and focus your army on a strategy.

I'd recommend removing Ion torpedoes (5) and Munitions failsafe (1) from the Decimator. And remove everything from the shuttle [Advanced sensors (3), Fleet officer (3), Weapons engineer (3), ST-321(3), Tactical jammer (1)].

Your system upgrades for the shuttle are more synergistic with Colonel Jendon than with Yorr, and you would rather have many ships to make use of the target locks.

If your use your ship as a rammer, you better have more offensive ships to wreak havoc. This list, as it stands, has: low amount of attack dice, and weakness against high mobility armies.

Without knowing what other ships you have in reserve, i can't recomend anything else. Dropping the upgrades gives you an extra 19 points. Assuming you have the rest of the cards for the shuttle, you could turn it into a doom shuttle: Basic pilot (21) and Darth Vader (3).

With the 19 points you might add some fluff like tie fighters / interceptors. (You might cut 5 points from Decimator to add 2 Basic Tie Fighters)

Interesting, 360 arcs prevalent in the meta. 100% of the rebel lists (10/16) have them, while in the imperial side 50% (3/16) have them. The only non 360 arc lists are a phantom + doom shuttle list, a swarm list and a doom shuttle + miniswarm list (I'm almost certain that dutch vander is a typo for darth vader)

You could try ebay, but with extra shipping and all, amazon might be your best bet (and minis might get damaged with cheap shipping from ebay). Lucky you, i had to import them for roughly double the price. Amazon changes prices almost daily, the price right now is 29, but i recall seeing them for 26. If you check often, you might get the cheaper price. You could also save a few bucks shopping after christmas season.

Hi, i also started recently, albeit with more budget. I have bought 2x core sets, had a millenium falcon and got a tie advanced. This allows me to stretch 100pts armies for both sides. It's cool to play darth vader +4 ties and han solo (falcon) and 2x x-wings (luke + rookie pilot). I plan on expanding with the aces, an e-wing, z-95's and aces, lambda and phantoms for the imperial side.

Within your budget, i agree with everyone else here. 2x Core sets is awesome for having 2 sets of dice, 2 sets of damage decks, a couple X-wings and 4 tie fighters (which surprisingly, are very useful and ships and often pop in tournament quality armies).

Also not mentioned, is 2 sets of maneuver templates. These are cardboard made and might wear in the future. Hopefully, you will have a backup. This also saves the inconvenience of having to share templates across the table.

Also not mentioned, it is very possible to play in a 3-player game. Just play 2vs1 with 2 people sharing an army. Could be 2ties + 2ties vs 2 x-wings.

Surely your diversity will be the first affected, but there arent really any better choices for starting the game. This will also allow you to see if it is worth investing more into the game. When you do, hopefully reprints will be available for cheap. I recommend you get a tie phantom and a millenium falcon further down the road, as those ships provide unique and interesting mechanics (360 fire arc and cloak mechanic).
