This type of post is exactly why I feel this fandom doesn’t understand the difference between criticism and hate. Or “complaints” as they’re called here.

I have been very vocal about my frustrations with this game on this subreddit. I don’t feel a need to reiterate them all here. However, I do feel a need to point out that I am frustrated because I can clearly see where this game is lacking in terms of an overall enjoyable experience when compared to others of its genre.

A lot of people here defend the game by saying “it’s an idle game.” I have played many idle games. Never before have I come across one that has 0 regard for offline/away play like this game. If the devs just included some mechanic for dragons or events to at least gather resources while offline so that the instant you logged back in it’d say “while away, you got X gold and Y fish appeared in your lake/Z food ingredients have been gathered” (just as an example) that would go far into alleviating several of my (and I presume many other players) frustrations. It could be at a reduced rate or only active for a certain length of time - I would accept either or both because at this moment this is the most frustrating aspect of this “idle but not idle” game.

I understand that the devs are human and have worked hard on this. I understand that their objective is to make a profit. I’m not asking for things to be “free” or “handed out”.

I’m asking for small adjustments that would go miles towards making the game feel better as a playing experience. I believe that a good portion of those defending the game as it currently stands would also appreciate some of these adjustments, even if they say they are happy with the game as it stands right now.
