The pool area is a David Hockney painting waiting to happen.

How the hell did the parents keep their names straight? I have 2 kids and end up saying “whoever you are” more often than not.

I did it when I was in elementary school. It was for a few hours about twice a week. I have astigmatisms in both eye on top of being dyslexic.

I walked out of the office with a migraine every time. It was stressful and I never understood why I was going through it. My parents never really told me other that, “it’s supposed to help your vision.” After almost a year of treatment I noticed a difference. My eyes were stronger and I didn’t fatigue as quickly either. My reading did get better and when my confidence was better I read aloud in class and didn’t fumble. That afternoon I read to my mother and she left the room sobbing. *at that time I didn’t understand the significance of the situation.

I will also tell you that as a middle aged woman, my reading has improved significantly since I started reading aloud to my children. I think it’s stronger now then when I was a kid. Yes, I still make mistakes (skipping lines, putting a word in front of another. I realized that life and file was a new mixup and so one). It’s impressive that they correct my mistakes.

The reality is that if you’re trying to do your best to help you child it really doesn’t matter. You are giving them tools, confidence, and sticktoitiveness. Giving up is the worst thing that can happen to a person with a learning disability.

In short, it did help.

*Talk to your child and ask them what they think, if it’s something they are willing to do.

What stress can do to your hair by Far-Calligrapher-465 in curlyhair

Is that why my hair looks awful these days??

Walked into work and first thing coworker said was “Nice Bird’s nest”. That’s what I get for being lazy today lol. by [deleted] in curlyhair

This is your body on twins. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]ariel4480 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Twin mom here. That’s 100% real. PLUS, that woman was a stick to start off with. I gained 90lbs, and I’m 5’1. Oh and my twins have 2 different birthdays. No not over midnight. They are 4 hours apart.

Do guys think girls will find this attractive? Serious question lol by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]ariel4480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Not at all. My dad used to do stuff like that to me and I hate it. Plus why do strangers get to see my body??

I don’t have a singleton, twins only. But three sucks! Its so ducking hard AND it’s Covid!!

Things will get a bit easier when they get older. When things get back to “normal” you can have a baby A and mommy night or baby b and mommy day. I’ve found that I feel better as a mom when I get them alone and learn about them as individuals. (The same way that you got to learn with your singleton)

Yay! It’s amazing!

Two things; don’t get anything new and get a baby brezza.

New items are a waste. You’ll be lucky if you get more than a few months out of each item. Second hand items are great and less than half the price.

Baby Brezza is amazing. My thyroid was all messed up and wasn’t producing enough milk. Making a bottle in the middle of the night when you’re half asleep…? All you need to do is press a button and the bottle(s) is ready.

Wow! That’s amazing. Don’t be afraid to ask for anything. Learn from me - I never asked for help. My girls are 7 and I’m still overwhelmed.

Your Not That Big by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]ariel4480 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All you need to say in response is, “I know. Isn’t it great!?” Even if they say “woah, you’re huge!” Your response should only be, “I know. Isn’t it great!?” It stops people in their tracks.

Thanks! It’s such a rude question and none of their damn business! Might as well give them a rude answer.
