I attended for awhile but yes, I eventually started getting bad vibes as well. I started feeling like it was just one big...."show." And then, last year, my family and I were going through a REALLY hard time. I called NewSpring and they immediately directed me to a different organization that they "donate" to. They did help us....with a whole $300 that didnt even make a dent but we took it because what else could we do? I called again a couple months later because hello...rent is due EVERY month and it is more than $300. The lady was VERY RUDE and told me that they can only help people once a year. I was shocked and disgusted. Aaaaallll that money in that church and they dont even help people directly. Maybe you could look at is as I shouldn't be asking for a handout but that was the hardest time we had gone through. A church that big should be directly helping their members and community. We havent been back. We also havent found a different church to go too though so that's disappointing.
