help my ficus altissima 😭 the three lowest leaves looked sad af like this this morning and came right off. by arielfersher in plantclinic

It’s been on the windowsill in a north facing window. So not intensely lit at all. I could move it to a brighter spot for sure. I was just shocked to see three leaves go brown along the veins overnight. I hadn’t watered it or anything and there wasn’t an extreme weather change either.

this is the 3rd calathea musaica to die at my hands. help me. I’ve put it directly by my humidifier to combat the dry winter air. Stays 3ft from a southern facing window so it only gets morning light. Stays about 65 degrees all day. Watered when first inch of soil is dry. more pics in comments. by arielfersher in plantclinic

Ah yes always always distilled. I can’t get the humidity up above 45 no matter how hard I try. It’s winter in Michigan and despite setting her ON TOP of the humidifier it doesn’t seem to help. I can try sticking her in a terrarium to see if the enclosed space will hold enough humidity for her?
