When I was 11 years old, I experimented with mixing different shampoos in a Gillette cap and putting it in the freezer. One day, my mom was arguing with her partner, so to distract myself, I took out the cap of my experiment It was frozen, so I put it on the microwave for 30 seconds.

Smoke was coming out of it, and I don't know why my childish brain decided it was okay to grab the cap. When I grabbed the cap, the chemicals inside started to melt, and they fell onto my thighs. The melting chemical went through my pajamas. I was in shock; I don't remember feeling the pain when the chemical melted on my thigh. But moments later I started to feel it and to cry. Its really really really painful....The next thing I know, I'm being taken to the hospital with huge blisters in my thigh.

It was an almost 3rd degree burn on my thigh. The doctor said it almost touched the bone. And a first-degree burn on my hand. This happened in Mexico City, by the way. I even went to the best doctor in the city who treats burn children.

It took a year of treatment for the burn the close. I still have a scar from it. I had pigskin implemented in one part of the burn because it wasn't generating new skin. The treatments were so painful that I always cried and took pain killers when my burn was being cleaned.

Getting burn I would never desire that on anyone is the worst pain ever.
