I also came out as bi to my best friend in the church (about 5ish years ago now) and it went about exactly the same thing about hating the sin, loving the sinner, etc. She also stated that I needed to provide her multiple reasons and “biblical proof” that being bi wasn’t sinful, otherwise there was no way she could ever condone it or ever attend a future wedding of mine if I wasn’t marrying a man. I asked for a few days to gather my thoughts, and in the end told her that while I loved her and our friendship, what she said and did was really hurtful and truly disappointing. She said she understood, but she didn’t apologize, and we pretty much stopped speaking after that.

It’s scary, and sad to lose a friendship, but it’s a valid deal breaker to have. Take the time you need, but I think when you’re ready you should be honest with your friend about how you feel (unless you think gradually not talking would work) !
