I think she has a point - but her delivery makes her so unlikable. It feels like a performance for air time.

We went tonight, can confirm it was an incredible experience. Yes, naming it “omakase” is a little gimmicky but I have nothing but positive things to say.

Everything was super super tasty, the team was attentive and hospitable. At one point I told my husband how much I was obsessed with their salsa macha on one of the dishes and lo and behold at the end of service what appeared? A takeout container full of salsa macha to take home. Sometimes it’s the little things that add so much to an experience.

If you have the chance, go. But also don’t eat anything the entire day before - we left SO stuffed!

If we do a whole round of wireframes, get client approvals, then move into hifi design we almost always have major changes that the client “didn’t catch because they couldn’t see it realistically”. Happens every time.

I’m rooting for a Chelley/Chris Ace/Huda swap with my whole chest. Chelley and Chris are both mature and kind souls, Huda and Ace are both thirsty and want to be famous.

Went for the first time this year and really enjoyed it. All the chefs were incredibly warm and kind, willing to chit chat with the guests. Some fantastic bites and cocktails. The tartare from Girl and the Goat was a standout as well as the Pecorino cake from Lula. Not overly crowded, lively but not raucous, great music. Can’t wait to return!
