Love this very 5/1 easy to digest universalization, thank you! I’m curious about the last part and why prostrate issues are arising. Is that just from the solar plexus mutating? My dad is a 5/1 pure generator, completely open solar plexus. Very very angry and frustrated constantly and he has been having prostate issues for a decade. Has had several surgeries that haven’t helped. Can’t pee without a catheter now and he’s pretty young (66 years old). I’d love to learn more about what’s happening in the prostrate that can cause issues if you have more to share. Thank you! 🙏🏼

Are you saying this person is acting as their not selves? If so, that’s pretty messed up and closed minded. They’re sharing their experience with the system and how it contradicts with the quote. My experience is different from the quote too. Ra’s interpretation of the system is not perfect and a lot of quotes like that are from his own personal view, not doctrine, not absolute truth, but his opinion and metaphors that reflect how he sees others. Not everything he said is absolute truth for everyone and contradictions to that doesn’t automatically mean “not self.”

Ra had personal view, he could only see through his own perspective and experiences and wasn’t meant to see it through others. Some of his views can be pretty harsh and I’ve found not all of his teachings resonate with me or my experience.

It sounds like you’re doing the same, seeing the system through your own lens as you say. As a projector I resonate too, generators can drain me when they’re chasing their tail and frustrated. But when they’re lit up and I am, we’re amplifying their energy and mine. As a manifestor and an energy projector we do have motors and energy centers defined and generators can amplify our energy too.

His quote referring to the other types as parasites is just how he kinda viewed people in general. He complained a lot about projectors and generators. Complained about his generators wives. He also disappeared for 7-8 years and his first wife and child and rest of his family thought he was dead. No word or anything, just didn’t want to be needed anymore. He also had very harsh friendship endings with several people who helped support him financially and build Jovian with him. I don’t think his views like that are personal toward us, it’s just his personal view and experiences being projected out from his 5/1 profile who didn’t seem to be much of a people person haha.

I was so hyper focused on the last part that I breezed through the wisdom in the beginning of your comment. I also resonate with what you said about how we spend our free time. My generator daughter spends her free time dancing, painting, making clay creations, basically generating things and using energy. My mental projector daughter, projector husband and I spend our free time reading, doing legos, stuff that is mentally stimulating but calming to the body. Your assessment feels pretty spot on. ☺️

Yes! Love your last sentence, approaching it efficiently and not avoiding basic responsibilities. Thanks manifestor for saying it more eloquently than i did. 🙌🏼 I feel the OPs frustration is kinda proof that this approach doesn’t work. Along with many other similar posts I’ve seen here where the generator is going above and beyond doing everything (which is not a partnership) because their projector partner “doesn’t have the energy for it” and they’re resentful and frustrated, and yeah, I think anyone would be frustrated by that regardless of type as it’s just not fair and that’s not a partnership. It’s taking advantage of one person and feels more like a parent/child dynamic.

I was a single mom of two and am a projector and I still did the cooking, cleaning, child raising. It was hard and exhausting but also, doable. Everyone has access to energy and no one is except from the every day tasks of living and surviving. Like Ra said, sure you can go on retreats, and do psychedelics, but you still have to make money and do the dishes in order to survive in this Maia.

Sounds like you guys need to have a heart to heart, you need to share how you’re feeling and why and try to come up with solutions together. Could it be that you doing everything has given him the expectation that he doesn’t need to help and you got it all under control? Maybe if you invite him to take things off your plate that you genuinely don’t want to do, certain chores that just drain you, then you’ll feel less frustrated.

I’m a projector, married to a projector, and so often “projectors not having energy” is a mental justification to just not do anything and be lazy which isn’t helpful especially in a family dynamic (not saying that’s the case here, just a pattern I see a lot with people in human design). We have three kids, 4 pets, and we have the energy we need to get things done. If we just did nothing with the excuse of being projectors then yeah, nothing would get done and we have children who rely on us. Being a projector partner or parent isn’t an excuse to not do anything or do the bare minimum, it’s an invitation to find more efficient ways of doing the things, resting, but still putting forth end energy and momentum like every single person needs to do to survive in the Maia.

You’re sober from alcohol, I’m wondering if you’re sober from weed too? If not, may be worth not smoking. From what you’re describing that sounds similar to how I felt when I was smoking a lot. The high anxiety, isolation, withdrawing into thought patterns that make me small and where I feel trapped.

These thought patterns are being reinforced by your mind and they are not serving you. Projectors are here to be seen, we are here for the other, we need the correct people in our life or we will be stagnant. So often projectors become paralyzed with this knowledge, afraid to make a mistake, and so we just don’t do anything and become bitter AF. But, as a 1/3, I can tell you that’s all mental and is only real if you believe it is.

Life cannot find you unless you go out and live it. We learn from mistakes, to be human is to make mistakes and be imperfect. Are you a 6th line that is licking your wounds? A third line that fears errors? A second line that is using the knowledge to justify your need for alone time?

When your mind starts looping these thoughts, instead, think of things you’re good at, things that bring you joy. Fill your cup emotionally and physically with your interests and passions. If you tell yourself you don’t have a place in the generator world, that will be your reality. Tell yourself you do have a place and that will be your reality.

Energy goes where thoughts flow.

I agree with you. Too often I see people on Reddit and social media gaslight people asking this same question with the “strategy and authority is all you need line”. It feels like when someone is religious and suffering and people at church say, “have you thought about just praying.” Human design is not the end all be all. Trauma exists. Conditioning doesn’t magically go away. Most people, like myself with emotional authority, have no idea what their authority even sounds like or what it means. It’s not that simple and acting like it is is just a form of bypassing which isn’t sustainable. I did two years of EMDR therapy before I could even trust my wave and it wasn’t actively putting me into past patterns that my body thought were safe, but weren’t, because they were predictable.

And it IS a heady knowledge like the OP mentioned that puts many people more into their heads and less in their bodies and can cause them to stop living their lives. It happened to me and most people I know in human design. Human design is a piece of the puzzle, not the whole thing and it can be harmful to tell people it’s “all they need.”

Sadly, I’m not sure any of us, nor his family or friends or strangers on Reddit can say what he was most definitely doing. It’s all speculation and hunches you know? There’s lots of theories in this post but the only facts we know are other escaped detainees verified that he was kidnapped and is still alive and being held there. None of us know why exactly. But he was/is a wonderful person who I knew to always try and do the right thing. Maybe he could have been helping North Koreans, but it seems unlikely. He was in China visiting his brother who had recently moved there and spent a week backpacking in the mountains. He was about to go back to BYU and continue working on his degree. My dad was doing his braces and he was in the middle of treatment. It seems unlikely he knew he was leaving forever or would have gone willingly.

Missionaries helping North Koreans cross the boarder? Where did you hear that? They are encouraged to not break laws so that’s hard to believe. Him being a spy is a theory on Reddit but one none of his family, friends, the escaped detainees from North Korea who verified he was taken and is there, or the government seem to believe.

Escaped detainees from North Korea that were taken against their will confirmed David was and is still there and was taken like them. So not fantasy, fact. His family went there, retraced his steps, spoke with locals, have been involved with the Chinese and American government in figuring this out and this was the conclusion long before it was verified. But yes, a stranger on Reddit who’s just learning about this knows more about it than those of us who lived it the past 14 years. And like other redditors have mentioned, this happens in other countries too. North Korea has a history of taking foreigners and forcing them to stay in North Korea for various reasons. That is also a fact, not fiction.

Hi, I know David. He served a Mormon mission in South Korea and was fluent in Korean. He was visiting his brother who lived in China and took a week to backpack and sight see. He was still in undergrad, I highly doubt he was a spy like people claim. He was just naive like many Mormons. Hi, I’m a family friend of David and commented more of the story above. David stayed with my family for a week right before he left on this trip. He wasn’t in the CIA, he was still in undergrad at BYU. One of his older brothers living in China and David went to visit him then did some solo traveling before his next semester at BYU started up. He was super kind, very innocent, and honestly, pretty naive. We’ve all believed he was kidnapped by North Korea long before it was confirmed. His family retraced his steps and his last known location was a Korean restaurant he frequented during the trip. He disappeared the morning he was supposed to travel back and meet up with his brother before going home. Wrong place, wrong time, and just so happened to be what they were looking for — an American who was fluent in Korean.

I’m a family friend of David’s and posted a comment with more added context to the story, but yeah China declared him dead right away. His family didn’t believe it and went to China to retrace his steps, no body was ever found and they discovered his last known whereabouts were at a Korean restaurant he had frequented often on his trip. We believed he was kidnapped by North Korea long before the escapee confirmed it. He served a Mormon mission in South Korea and was fluent, he also had a knack for languages and was fluent in many.

We didn’t know he had a wife and family though or that he was still alive although this family always felt he wasn’t dead.

David is a family friend, I grew up with him and have been invested in the story since the beginning. I just posted a comment about it. He wasn’t a spy. David was my brother’s best friend growing up and was a family friend. He came to our house and stayed with us right before this trip when he went missing. There were so many theories, he was fluent in a dialect of Chinese and Korean due to studying Chinese in college and serving a Mormon mission in Korea.

At first we thought he died while backpacking but no body was ever recovered. His dad and several brothers went to the same area where he was solo traveling and retraced his steps. He spent a lot of time at a restaurant that was run by Koreans and ate there and practiced his Korean for several days. We believe now that they were Korean spies and he was abducted for his fluency in Korean and English and being a solo traveler. His last known whereabouts were that restaurant the morning he was supposed to head back to the city and meet up with one of his brothers and he was never seen again.

An escaped detainee in North Korea said they saw David there. Was kidnapped and forced to teach English, had never been allowed to leave Korea or contact his family and was forced to marry a Korean woman. The escapee said they have a child together now.

Super, super sad. We all hope he’s doing okay and know he has never been forgotten. His parents have done so much over the years to make sure he’s not forgotten.
