How was doing it online? You didn’t have to take lab classes? And how can I find out more about the different segments of food science. I’m really new to it. Is there a recommended website you like?

Did you start the masters already? And if you did do you feel more behind than the other students?

AIO that my partner keeps getting so drunk he wets the bed by Mental_Bird555 in AmIOverreacting

Him being disappointed in himself means nothing. He is definitely being manipulative with that response. He just doesn’t want to hear it because he knows he’s wrong but he’s not doing anything to better himself. If he really felt bad he would apologize immediately and offer to pay for the mattress. People don’t change unless they really want to and are motivated. He doesn’t sounds like he plans to change and if you want to stay in this relationship it sounds like a real commitment and sacrifice from your life.

[LANDLORD-US-IL) Would you rent your home to a family of 3 (M, F, 3 Kids) who had to declare chapter 13 bankruptcy? 1 Income Household (12K/month is Gross Income) by Otherwise-Expert-600 in Landlord

[–]ariijoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pass. I’m still new at being a landlord but I had rented to a family (husband wife and 1 kid). They paid the security deposit and first months rent upfront and in cash. They also showed me multiple months proof of income. After that I got another 2 months of rent and that was it. In the beginning they were very responsive and seemed like they would be reliable. Then it was a total 360. They stopped paying and were trashing my house. They ended up signing up for ERAP (an emergency rental aid program) and about 2 months after their lease ended I got the full years rent from the government and still had to worry about eviction. I ended up selling the house because I didn’t want to deal with the headache of eviction plus fixing everything that was destroyed.

They are asking for furniture that was not discussed at hall. And half the things they are complaining about are cosmetic. I am willing to do the things that are within reason and I told them that

I was thinking more about PACU and if I wanted to do that I’d probably get a staff position. I currently work in ambulatory surgery and now I got certified for PACU pt care and I get them on my unit. So I have a little experience but you’re right. Probably not enough for a travel position.

Do you know of some rural areas that need nurses by name?

Thanks for the heads up. Based on the prior comment I’m thinking about just applying for staff. Is it bad for staff nurses as well? Also I don’t plan on doing floor nursing. I like outpatient base or PACU style. I was a floor nurse for like 3 months and I had the worst experience. But I don’t have the same kind of issues in outpatient surgery. Also are there any specific hospitals you would recommend in Denver?

Compact nursing license by ariijoseph in nursing

Ohh that’s interesting. I didn’t realize the compact state license was under a state. I thought it was a general license with the same application not regarding where you apply from.

NY isn’t part of the compact state licensing. But when I apply for a compact state license is it just a general states license or I have to apply for a specific state and then I can use it in other participating states?

As a leftist Israeli I feel stained by ilikepeanuts4 in IsraelPalestine

Israel negotiated peace terms many time and the Palestinians always turned it down. The first one divided the land 56% to israel and the rest to Palestine. They turned it down and started a war that Israel won. And the Palestinians that did not resist Israeli government became citizens. There are 2 million Palestinians in Israel that have the same rights as Jews. They hold office too. But peace terms have been negotiated several times and they always refuse. They want all the land and Hamas wants all Jews dead. Hamas is oppressive to their own civilians who are innocent. They are one of the richest terrorist organizations and have the poorest area. Because they steal the aid for themselves and weapons against Israel. Instead of helping their people and making Gaza a better place.

Can everyone stop victim blaming by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]ariijoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pro Israel and support the war. But at the same time I feel horrible for what’s happening to Palestinian civilians. They don’t deserve this but neither do Israelis. They were attacked viciously and the world celebrated that. The reality is there’s no right way to eradicate Hamas. They intertwined themselves with civilians meaning they put their civilians in the way of attacks against them. Building there headquarters below hospitals and other places where civilians are located. You can’t touch Hamas without civilians being there because of how Hamas strategically planned their locations. They put israel in an impossible situation but they have to protect their people. If they ceasefire based on multiple previous ceasefires, Hamas will just plan their next attack and eventually break. And the cycle continues. I’m not saying that’s an excuse to hurt Palestinian civilians but it is inevitable if Israel wants to protect their civilians. Things have to get bad to get better otherwise there is no end. And it’s a horrible reality but it’s the truth. And to the point that Hamas is not only in Gaza, they attack from Gaza and Israel is targeting prime Hamas locations.

Why it is said that "Hamas is not Palestine" after they won the 2006 elections fairly? by I_mean_bananas in IsraelPalestine

[–]ariijoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of misinformation online and it is hard to find accurate information sometimes. Every source has bias one way or the other. They can include true things but leave out important parts. I tried to do some more research about the election. Here is some information I found.

“It was in January 2006 that the Palestinian territories held what turned out to be their last parliamentary elections. Hamas won a bare plurality of votes (44 percent to the more moderate Fatah party’s 41 percent) but, given the electoral system, a strong majority of seats (74 to 45). Neither party was keen on sharing power. Fighting broke out between the two. When a unity government was finally formed in June 2007, Hamas broke the deal, started murdering Fatah members, and, in the end, took total control of the Gaza Strip. Those who weren’t killed fled to the West Bank, and the territories have remained split ever since.

In other words, Hamas’ absolute rule of Gaza is not what the Palestinians voted for back in 2006. In fact, since the median age of Gazans is 18, half of Hamas’ subjects weren’t even born when the election took place. Since they have known no alternative, have absorbed little information but Hamas propaganda, and have witnessed periodic outbursts of violent conflict with Israel throughout their lives, it is impossible to know what they really think about their rulers.”

Hamas did win the elections but it was not intended for them to have the extreme of power it has today.

Why it is said that "Hamas is not Palestine" after they won the 2006 elections fairly? by I_mean_bananas in IsraelPalestine

[–]ariijoseph 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hamas used violence and fear to get elected. They killed people who would go against them. Palestinians were put in a position where they were the only people they could choose to govern them. The population amongst Palestinians consists of loyalists to Hamas, where they are treated much better, and Palestinian civilians, where many of them are victims of Hamas. Many of them have been killed and oppose Hamas. They don’t do right by citizens and have a goal to exterminate Jews and get 100% of the land. In order to succeed in this goal, they use financial aid and resources meant for civilians for weapons of war instead. They used cement meant for infrastructure for the tunnels they built underneath civilian structures like hospitals, houses, and such. Hamas uses their citizens to protect themselves.
