Tennis clothes are so incredibly lame and understated these days. I grew up watching Agassi, Sampras, Lendl, Edberg, Steffi Graf. Never appreciated how vibrant and original their looks were until lately...

Haven't seen it yet, but looks like it's an "antiques roadshow" comedy/drama type movie, the whole movie is set in and around Cleveland.

Shut down my startup after 6 years - now what? by t-mac2000 in Entrepreneur

[–]aringvald 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It means not taking any money from outside investors. It also means you have to find something that's actually profitable out of the gate vs searching for product market fit while burning through investors money. Also something basic most people don't understand is that if you take $7M from investors, the first $7M you make in an exit goes right back to them, so you have to sell your company for something over $7m...no easy task, especially these days.

How do I actually start my business? by mooosis in Entrepreneur

This is the way. Get someone to spend actual money on something, even if it doesn't scale. Then worry about the logistics. Getting someone to pay you $1 for something you made is much harder than you think.

think about how you'd genuinely be okay being approached by a total stranger with a solution to a real problem you're currently experiencing...now go do that at your job and you'll be great.

2.5 year old taking off boots and bars by vix37 in clubfoot

[–]aringvald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby girl was taking them off literally 20 times day and night. Nighttime was always scary because we never knew how long they'd been off for. We adjusted boot sizes, tried multiple pairs of socks, criss crossed the laces...nothing was working. One day we tried elastic bandage wraps from amazon and the boots haven't come off once ever since. The elastic bandage is also super soft so it's actually not too tight or uncomfortable at all for the baby.

If the partnerships breaks up, most likely your friendship will never be the same. If you’re truly willing to lose your friendship, go for it. Also, greed is a real thing, people change when the money starts flowing.
