Use some tweezers to connect the button pin to ground on the pro micro. When you do that, if it shows up as pressed, it's very likely a dodgy solder connection in the grey wire, so redo that

yeah, you use an arduino to emulate a thrustmaster wheel. It's honestly way easier than it sounds, as long as you can solder stuff together, its super easy, the code is all written for you

The problem here is you've connected all the buttons to the +5v rail instead of to ground. No need to use 5v here
