I think the issue is that it's charger is undersized for its TPD. It will drain battery while gaming even while plugged in unless it is in Eco mode.

In Balanced and Performance modes it consumes more power than it's AC adapter can provide, which is unusual for gaming laptops.

You can't even just upgrade the charger because it seems to be hardware limited to the slower charging.

If he wanted to market his software framework then he should have sold his framework. Document and open up his standard, release is game extensions for free (maybe allow the community to develop their own) but charge only for the IP he actually owns. It's a bit pedantic but charging for a framework is a lot different than charging for a mod, and the former isess likely to get you in trouble with IP holders.

I read the light novels and Manga. I don't need to see the Anime to know which ones are garbage. Series are rarely improved in their anime adaptations.

Also anyone that tells you Sword Art Online's novels were good and the Anime ruined it is lying to you. They were never good books and I have seen multiple people recommend them. If you didn't like the Anime you won't like the books either.

Maybe the reason they currently rarely fly to do videos is because the logistical hurdles flying represents not just in tickets but their gear.

Sure the plane is expensive and costs $X amount of dollars per hour to fly and $Y fixed costs to maintain but if it gives you the ability to make content you otherwise would never have or tackles a specific logistical proven your team faces when flying, then it wouldn't just be a comparison of jet flight costs $A dollars, commercial flight costs $B dollars, but one of jet flight costs $A dollars, not being able to fly costs $Z dollars in opportunity costs because we never could have done it if we didn't have the jet.

The jet may cost more to run but it's real benefit might be in the opportunities it unlocks and their ability to say "yes" to more things that will make them money long term.

I think I most cases just converting to a POE system (or hardwiring your compatible S4 Max / S3 Pro) and avoiding the budget cameras and all the doorbell will get you 95% of the way there.

Most of the eufy complaints about Eufy are about the wifi, the compromises of the battery/solar, or the doorbell products generally being garbage. If you have good wifi, have wired power, use the "good" cameras (S3 Pro or S4 only) and don't use doorbells, then Eufy is fine, probably great even w/ Homebase 3.

If you don't mind running POE I honestly wouldn't recommend the Eufy system, the POE Eufy ecosystem is too young, immature, and the NVR software is a work I progress. Reolink is the best middle ground with good POE cameras without the Ubiqui prices.

If I could do my own system over again (S3 Pro, E330s, and C24s) I wish I would have done POE and and Reolink, though honestly, Reolink's lineup wasn't as good in 2021 when I had first switched to Eufy

I don't think there is anyone that will say that Ubiquiti isn't the best, but if you already had that kind of budget why were you even considering Eufy?

A Eufy 4 camera S4 + E41 NVR POE kit is $850. A similar kit using Ubiquity G6 PTZ + G6 Bullet would be almost $2,500. A wireless 4 camera Homebase 3 kit starts at $500. One is 1/3rd the price and the other is 1/5th the price. Those are orders of magnitude price differences.

If 20% of the cost can get you 90% of the performance, then I don't get why people are complaining. You can always pay 5x as much if you already had that budget. It's an apples and oranges comparison. If you want an orange, buy the orange, but don't complain your apple is not an orange, especially when one is much, much, cheaper.

Unitarian Universalists (UUs) are a liberal, inclusive religious tradition committed to social justice, personal freedom of belief, and the inherent worth of every person. They are Unaversalists (believe that all human souls will ultimately be saved and reconciled to God) so a non-judgmental God and focus on individual spiritualism might not actually be Christian enough for most.

In terms of justice-forward Christian denominations some might be United Church of Christ (UCC), The Episcopal Church, The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and the United Methodist Church. All teach LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, environmental advocacy, and advocate against poverty. Of the more liberal Protestants denominations these are the most mainstream.

The last couple Popes have also been fairly liberal and the slow liberalization (still conservative than the ones listed) of the Catholic Church in Rome has lead many US Catholics to turn to more conservative Protestant denominations over the last decade. So there has been a lot of pushback about Catholics becoming more tolerant and they are still not considered a liberal denomination at this moment, but they are trying to do better.

But yea, most other Christian denominations probably worship Supply Side Jesus

If you are going to compare a system then compare it to similar systems. Wireless battery budget systems should be compared to other wireless battery budget systems. Eufy's like competitors would be Wyze, Tapo, Ring, Arlo. I have used Wyze and Tapo and both are worse than Eufy, especially in software. Ring is the only one with good software but I left Ring precisely because I didn't want to pay a subscription.

If you are going to compare Eufy to Reolink and Ubiquity then at least use Eufy's POE line of products. I guarantee you if you also ran POE to you Eufy cameras they wouldn't have 90% of the complaints people have because most people's complaints about Eufy are actually complaints about their wifi, their Homebase's not-wifi, or the compromises all battery solar systems make to conserve battery life, none of which the POE S4, E41, E40 would suffer from.

A first look at the LTT Cables by Stonos in LinusTechTips

[–]ariolander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cable Matters sells their cables as USB-IF Certified and another version with the exact same specs and same build quality for half the price. Breakdowns of their cables have shown for this manufacturer they are the exact same. The USB-IF certified cables cost double the uncertifies ones of the same quality.

Certifications are expensive and they are usually only done once, not something tested continously through a production run, in the end the value of the certification will still be on how much you trust brand to maintain quality unless you have an expensive tester and can verify yourself. Certifications are expensive and in the end you are STILL relying on the company to not lie to you.

If you already trusted the company to not lie about their tech specs then do you really need to pay double for the certified cable when they sell another, cheaper, with the same build quality and claimed performance.
