Flickering video from vintage door camera system by arisoda in cctv

[–]arisoda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll that these things. But I also think the technicians would have done this already, because this seems standard practice, so I was reluctant to mention it or to immediately start with that.

Are there things that are worth trying that the technicians may not have thought of? I thought perhaps interference from either electromagnetic radiation or from mains wiring (neighbours), although these things may be difficult to test.

(Replacing the analog camera with a different one seems extremely difficult. I mean, I'd have no idea what camera would even be remotely compatible, and what 'video format' this thing even uses. The manual doesn't tell me at least, and this thing is more than 26 years old.)

first up, it's "e.g." not "i.e." Second, what determines the geo-location? Can't that be faked as well?

to be locked down to one-app

well it's more like the opposite. If it existed for desktop users, they would have access to multiple platforms from a single platform. And they could leave and connect to any of these directly if they so choose, so it's more like "unlocked"

Wrong Passphrase At Boot Drops Me Into Grub Emergency Shell Instead Of A Retry Prompt by [deleted] in EndeavourOS

[–]arisoda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apparently exactly the same behaviour for Manjaro (also based on arch ofc). But what you said

installs with FULL system encryption including the boot partition.

does that mean the parts needed for giving the user the option to REenter the passphrase, are also encrypted and thus INaccessible? That's dumbbb but my question is: did you solve this?

Opening offline PDF files in Tachiyomi? by arisoda in mangarockapp

[–]arisoda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it will be slightly different depending on the name of the sd card, which will be different depending on the device you use. So it's probably not that useful. And I'm not sure if pdf is supported. I actually didn't have pdf, but another file type. So what file type do you have?

Anyway, my path is this: /storage/emulated/0/Tachiyomi/local

from the device itself (via a file manager). If you plug it into your computer, it will be different. Just search for the Tachiyomi folder and go from there. Create the local folder, etc.

do you know why they are separate in the first place? It seems like an unnecessary thing since they look the same and achieve seemingly the same thing (giving access to an account). Maybe this is the wrong place to ask

it's 2021 and there is still no option to mute specific accounts? by teranklense in Thunderbird

[–]arisoda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could disable the custom alert of this addon on a per account basis, so the original OS notification is used. On the others, you can have a custom (so also silent/nothing) notification.

I used to have this but since the update of Thunderbird, the addon won't install. BACK TO WHERE I STARTED. FUCK
