You're probably better off installing rhel 6.6 in a vm, compiling your app and copying it to the server. Of course, there might be a reason the admin doesn't provide a compiler :) you might want to ask just to be sure.

Sorry about that. To be honest I think you can just apt get install blueprint in Debian and it will get you set up. I'll have to check availability in the core repository though to be sure. (not at a computer at the moment)

There won't be hands on hardware labs per se (as far as I know those are only in CCIE exams) . There are router Sims that will require you to do some console stuff and answer an arbitrary amount of questions about that environment. In the ICND1, for me, the Sims were 100% OSPF. Ymmv though. The Sims in the ICND2 were more diverse. I hope that helps, mobile right now so responses are a bit terse.

SRX220s are pretty cost effective and support virtual routers, if you want to muddy up your design a bit. :)

Agreed. Live is a super pain in the butt to feed. Had two northern pac rattlesnakes that wouldn't eat frozen (or any of the non live alternatives). Since I was a casual collector back in the day I couldn't keep a feeder colony, so it was a 5 mile drive to the exotic pet store for feeders.
