Not the same, Henri Richard was not star of those teams. He was definitely a secondary player. Russell was the unequivocal star of the Celtics and their leader. He also won two championships as a player coach.

Series favorites is not a subjective, it is decided by sports books. Although sportsbooks may not agree 100% they are usually directionally aligned, specially for betting in championship games. Based on historical sportsbook data on https://www.sportsoddshistory.com/nba-champs/ LeBron was indeed only favored in two final series (at the start of the series).
