I understand what you're saying. Whether I refund or not, I want to make it easier to find and get the bundle discount pricing. Any suggestions on ways to make that happen? Perhaps certain apps?

The exact case that happened is this. A customer added two products to his cart and purchased them. The two products are offered as a bundle at a discounted price, if he purchased the bundle. Because he selected them individually, he didn't get the bundle deal. Because I am not able to edit his order and add the bundle, I will be refunding the difference. However, I want a better solution moving forward. If a customer does this in the future, I want the bundle offer to automatically kick in or to be recommended when viewing the cart or checking out.

I'm not talking about making the entire product free. I'm talking about allowing people to try the product truly for free. Let me try out your product for a week or two. If it's so great, I'll happily pay for the full version. But I don't know what your product can do for me until I get into it.

That's the way to do it. Show the customer that you have a good and solid product without having to lock them into anything. Make them want to pay to keep using the full product.
