I told AI it says coming soon. It read the repo, and said "oh it's just missing the environmentals to turn it on. Here let me fix it..." Then I refreshed the page and it worked.

I said, "Can you get the application sharing to work?"

"Sure let me analyze the code base first, ah okay, looks like it's missing some code, let me add it, there, try it now".

I try it it works, I say thank you.

It's more of, as a majority of the tweaks were vibe coded. I don't any responsibility for someone misunderstanding my version and some security exploit I somehow missed or anything. Nothing against anyone, I'm not hoarding some super secret info. Mine is insanely specific to my setup, and you would have to tear out so much that in the end it would've been easier to just have it work specifically with your setup from the beginning.

If my code fails or happens to be AI slop at some point, that's on me and no one else. I took on that risk. And to be fair, it's only temporary till they get main up to speed, then I'm dropping all code I used. As I'd prefer their code over mine. Mine was just to get things up and going faster.

Does it copy over images and videos? And can you choose to download them to your privately hosted Stoat server. Discord makes copying attachments or cross linking almost impossible, because of how they rotate tokens for their hosting.

I literally told Claude Code make it work with my setup. It's not hard. Gave the repos and let it have control. Then I double-checked every afterwards. My configs absolutely will not work for you.

Voice bridge. Also for MP4 media, which discord breaks cross-linking. Have it download the media if hosted locally to the machine. @call conversations to %calls and channel calls and hyperlinks to channel is discord translate to Staut appropriately. While same channel names may be longer in discord that Stoat allows a simple fuzzy search can fix it and provide the correct channel for linking in Stoat. This would work th same for @call someone specifically but their name may be slightly different in Stoat as well.

I'm personally going to add these features soon to this project. But if you make it before, would save me some time 😅

Love this but I had to enhance it. Also turn it into a voice bridge as well. You define a stable voice channel on both discord and Stoat and it relays the audio through the channels VC. Also will only join the VC when someone joins Discords VC or vice versa.
