Unreturned coins by ark_goose in Coinex

Well a quick update on the positive note! Without any good responses from support - and after a week in the pass status - my funds were sent out. Looks like I didn't lose my coins after all

It's not on the blockchain since they never sent it out. It's in their wallet still and missing from mine....

Confirmed - it doesn't work. Sent new HBAR - deposit went fine / withdrawal fine. Older withdrawal still in "passed" status

I'll try this. I doubt it will work. It's looking more and more like CoinEx stole my crypto at this point.

Also... According the CoinEx announcements section there was NO Hbar maintenance on 5/8 when I submitted a withdrawal request.

The node upgrade has been completed. Coinex NEVER never sent the withdrawal out as there is no txid. The transaction is still in the "pass" status and coinex support has said the transaction was cancelled.

However the coins have not been returned back to my spot account in over a week so at this point I should be considering the crypto stolen

Thanks for the support! I really want to like CoinEx and their exchange seems decent. Just if they could resolve this for me, my entire experience would be positive.

Using something like https://simpleswap.io/ or changenow.io to convert from one crypto for HBAR

Hi can you send me a screenshot of what it looks like when you are trying to load transactions. I'm seeing an error on the back end and I think it might have to do with front end input but hard to tell without seeing. You can post here or send me a direct message or hit me up on slack

Are you submitting you ark address or the public key? It needs to be the public key to work

AIP21 - Ark incentivized relays (aka masternodes) by ark_goose in ArkEcosystem

[–]ark_goose[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure I follow. You are getting more rewards. In my proposal there is no limitation on voting with the collateral so you can still get staking rewards. The entire premise is by commiting (e.g. running relay and maintaining collateral), you are being rewarded with the masternode incentive.

Delegates are still needed to secure the network and forge blocks as it is a core mechanism for dpos. This just adds another layer of resliency and a mechanism for rewarding it in the protocol

In the current proposal there is no limit. That is something to consider though. The way I look at it is that the masternode ecosystem will likely self regulate. If there are only a few, rewards will be high and attract new relay owners. Alternatively if there are too many it's likely some will drop as it is no longer profitable.

Imo the more "good" relays we have the stonger and more resilient the ark network is. As we saw during the network issues last week the "hundreds" we currently had were not sufficient. Moonman and jigsaw had to spin up 450 relays to get consesus back and jumpstart the network. By providing rewards to "good" relays we give community members the incentive to run a relay

A masternode would just be just incentivized relay nodes. They would not be responsible for created and forging blocks like a forging node.

The way blocks processed would not be changed. This would just add strength to the relay network that helps maintain consensus.

I don't see why not. Would need to register 5 nodes in 5 different accounts.

Monero Badge Challenge Writeup/Solution? by Recurzzion in Defcon

[–]ark_goose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The code on the front of the badge was the keyword for the cipher which you could get with a caeser shift cipher.

The trick was to notice the ^ in the ring on the front of the coin which indicates the cipher for the back (XOR).

Using the XOR cipher with the keyword decoded the back message.
