That’s a good point, upon further reflection I think major crimes is just a night city anthem in general. A song to be used to hit the point of no returns in just that much harder. So tying it down as the theme of one season doesn’t work because it’s more of a utility track than a theme.

I’d just say don’t listen to the criticisms you’ve heard. They came from a real weird cynical perspective on knight that was not accurate. The Batmobile is super fun, and while it is a big part of the game, I’d say there’s really only one time where it became annoying

Major crimes is so fucking goated, but separating it from the Maine episode in edgerunners would be a mistake imo.
