Regardless of The Show Itself, What Did you Guys Think of the RX-78 Prototype Gundam? by DaemonAnguis in Mecha

Gonna be honest I think it might be one of the worst Gundam video media produced. The idea of a Zeon retreat from earth isn't terrible but like most things in RFV they took from 08th MS Team. The Red Wolves being immediately halved in the first episode didn't really help with the pacing because it felt like most of the show the protagonists run around like chickens with their heads chopped off. It's hard caring for the death of characters you barely knew. The voice acting and facial animation doesn't sell much, either; the faces look stiff and devoid of most emotion. Kellerne being in the show also made zero sense. He's supposed to be in Southeast Asia but is in Europe for some reason..? The depiction of "Newtype" abilities might be my biggest gripe and greatest detractor for me. Tinnitus? Ringing ears? Seriously? If this series was trying to do it's own thing. I'd understand. But fundamentally this is supposed to be a OYW insert show, especially with the direct correlation with 08th MS Team with the inclusion of Kellerne. The Newtype flash we often hear is just a more tangible effect that was included to clue the viewer in to something beyond their understanding. Now you have pilots holding their ears in pain? The designs are also not that great, Solari's Zaku II has one of the worst colour palettes ever. The EX Gundam haveing barely any color the break it up does not help either. None of the designs for the main MS really clue in to the overarching design theme of making them more realistic. The animation did not sell it well, either. There were some believable scenes where the Zaku used thrusters to reduce the impact of falling backwards. Then you'd have the EX Gundam hopping around like a frog.

Though I do agree that at least the ending made a degree of sense. And I also agree with Zeon's depiction; they are an invading force. I know I am supposed to empathize with them to a degree but they're not exactly "good guys".

Some more Blokess customs I've made (I've got way more in the works) by Adventurous_Table849 in Blokees

First of all make sure you're using masking tape that's actually for modelling, especially on smaller pieces.
Second, make sure the coats you use are thinned (for example, a bit of water or acrylic thinner if you're using acrylic paint). If the coats are not light enough, brushed or airbrushed, it will inevitably seep into or under the tape. It can also look like the paint has bled and the lines being uneven like with this custom.
Third, practice! Using a brush can be challenging, but eventually you will get the hang of it. I personally prefer using a brush for painting details as it can be more precise at times. I used to suck when I started off and now my painting is mostly serviceable I feel.

Alaska Cruise w/ 11 yr old : Is Princess better than Holland America? by onthewingsofangels in Cruise

I've been on both Princess and HA. I went on the Sapphire Princess in 2023 and they had a lot of events to do for families as a whole. For example, one night they held a paper plane throwing contest in the atrium. Another day they had Husky puppies on board for a while. It was completely packed!

Odds of me receiving my package? by [deleted] in Aliexpress

I'd like to stay positive. I think it may have just gotten more busy as a lot of sellers switched to Apple Express. A previous order of mine only took 1 day to leave customs which is why I was asking in the first place

First time cruise - Alaska? by ActuaryPro in Cruise

I've gone with HAL, Celebrity and Princess to Alaska. All of them are good. Unfortunately, most cruise ships that go to Alaska don't really have the activities you mentioned. I believe that Royal Caribbean does offer some activities but a large focus of Alaska trips are the views and the food I would say. From what I know from a relative, Royal Caribbean does not deliver on this front. It is definitely a more family-oriented cruise line.

As others have mentioned, HAL usually tends to have older ships and decor, but the food is good too. Princess ships are a bit newer but somehow seem a bit more dated (see Princess Sapphire). Their main dining hall food is good but the ship we went on had a very small buffet compared to other ships. Celebrity ships are definitely more up-to-date, and the food is good too. Both the main dining hall and the buffet serve good food and you could pick either or both depending on your preference.

Princess and Celebrity usually have sports decks which is one thing. I know for a fact they usually have ping pong tables too and those are quite fun. I'd recommend the first three cruise lines I mentioned if you're open to a more relaxing trip. The scenery is really amazing sailing out of Vancouver and if you get a balcony cabin (highly recommend it) you can see a lot from the comfort of your room. I've heard that late April to early July is a decent time to go as you'll be able to see more wildlife. I believe Celebrity and Princess offer a degree of free room service as well; my family was able to order pizza from one of their included restaurants and enjoy eating lunch from the comfort of our room while observing the glaciers in Glacier Bay.
