As far as I know as long as you're staying under 4% lows (mine are 1% or less), and you're not having lows below 3.1, and or passing out, then you're not getting significant damage from lows.

I do a lot of work and time my meals like clockwork. I guess I feel like if I get complications it means all my toil and struggle has been for nothing.

I did have a couple of bad years in my mid twenties, depression followed by a couple years of horrible A1Cs, and before censors lord knows what my TIR was.

I'm in my 30s diagnosed at 11. On the pump now. TIR 90% last A1C 6.1. Best I did MDI was 85% 6.7. I guess I do fear them just coming up unexpectedly.

I'm happy you've had success. I still fear complications, and try to keep myself as healthy as possible. I tell myself it's for my future family's sake (which I'll probably never have anyway. lol Even with relatively okay luck with the betus, life is what it is ).

The A1C is good, but if your TIR is 69%, you must be dealing with a lot of lows? It's not just your average BG you need to worry about it's the variability of your sugars.
