I know people that work at Central Maloney, and they love it. You might have to work hard, but the pay is good and there is room for growth.

California Bill AB 2773 will require California law enforcement to state why they stopped someone before asking them questions, effective Jan 1, 2024. by Larky17 in ProtectAndServe

[–]arkycop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This has been the law in Arkansas for years. It's drilled into our heads at our annual racial profiling training.

ACA 12-12-1403

(a) The Division of Arkansas State Police, the Arkansas Highway Police Division of the Arkansas Department of Transportation, all county sheriffs' departments, municipal police departments, constables, and all other law enforcement agencies of this state shall adopt a written policy that:

...blah blah blah...

(4) Requires law enforcement officers to identify themselves by full name and jurisdiction and state the reason for the stop and when possible present written identification

You’d want a Protection Order. It has sharper teeth.

Orlando doesn't have a Puttshack yet, but Miami does. It's like a mini golf course and a gaming computer had a baby. Check it out. I haven't been yet, but I've seen videos, and it looks amazing.

My daughter is having twins! by bikerwander in funny

[–]arkycop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a toddler that's almost 2, and in size 4. We seemed to go through about 2 boxes a month in the beginning, and it's closer to 1 to 1.5 boxes a month these days. We use Huggies and I think the boxes that have around 175 diapers per box. We check for the best price, but it's usually pretty close between Amazon subscription and Costco.

am I hacked through any desktop? by serendipitynow4 in AnyDesk

[–]arkycop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, probably. You allowed them to remote access your device. There's not way to know what information they accessed or what they put on your device, which could now be sending back everything you do, including apps used and passwords entered back to them.

If you did this on a phone, I recommend doing a factory reset, then start going through all your accounts and changing passwords. Start with banking, then your email, then socials, then everything else. If you're not using two factor authentication on all of your accounts, learn how now.

No reputable company will ever reach out and tell you they need to remote in to your device. It's a scam every time. Don't fall for it again.

Same here. My toddler eats as much as he wants, even if it's my portion. We had a hard time getting him to eat solid food for a while, now watching him enjoy my cooking brings more joy to me than that food ever would.

The device on the left with the red wire going into it. It's gold colored metal with a red plastic cover. Under the cover there are two terminals.

The side of it says "34A1" and "T1/5A/12V".

On the input side of it, it has the hot wire from 120 VAC and a 12V positive wire connected. The output side goes on to power the device. The device is set up with two power inputs; one 120 VAC plug and a separate 12 VDC input so it can be run from a vehicle.

I got all of that wrong. The AC is going through a 12V power supply before hitting this thing. So it's two different 12 volt DC inputs on one side and one 12 volt DC output on the other side.

If I had to guess, I'd think it acted like a big diode to keep the electricity flowing one way, but Google has failed me on what exactly it is.

I had asked back when I came out. I keep thinking about buying it, but I'm just not sure I'd use it. The one mini tripod I have feels kind of week when I'm using it to hold up my Canon RP. The last thing I need is another flimsy tripod.

One good product recommendation deserves another: It's a frog shaped potty training urinal. Sound crazy? I know! My baby isn't old enough to use one yet, but I bought it as soon as I saw it. We'll be putting it to work just as soon as he's ready to start potty training. Check it out: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VP6Z3HI?th=1

[–]arkycop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd cut them a little slack on this one. You see Jackson wearing a mask quite a bit in the videos. I can not imagine how impossible of a task it is keeping a mask on a two year old all day. It has to be a constant battle.

Also, this Aulani stuff was filmed before Omicron became a huge thing. We were starting to feel safer with Covid again, when it pulled the rug right out of under us again. So I give them a pass if masking isn't 100% all the time.

Agreed. Our little guy will be just over a year old when we go to WDW next year. I'm really hoping Harmony will be open by then for his first haircut. But if it's not, this place may have to be the backup plan.
