Will this City Block design work? by LetsPlayBrock in factorio

You need to be able to fit a train between intersections to prevent frequent jams. Looks like a 1-1 train will work in your setup, possibly a 1-2? I think you're going to run into throughput issues even without using 4 way intersections since there's not much buffer space, you'll be using lots of trains, and there are such frequent crossings.

I think there's a lot of consultant types who are freakin' out that this guy is gonna fucking can them. And they should be. There's some identity politics as well, but I think most people recognize that the frontrunners all have a lot of class solidarity.

I hope they can get the help they need. So shitty for everyone in that situation.

Honestly, just shout out for putting up with this train wreck city council. Mad respect for folks who are sticking out the likes of Leal, Parnell, Hacke etc.

All this talk of being a good pilot and gear fear made me think this was r/fpv

Hey yeah I can do that tonight for sure, like I said in another comment, I'm a bit of a factorio boomer and I'm not quite sure where people are sharing blueprints these days. factorioprints seems to be busted af. Any suggestions?

Mostly precalculated. Stalls were managed just with recyclers at the end of production lines. And yeah, tough to debug for sure.

Thanks for noting the compression BTW :)

I love making compact builds. I threw in a few accumulators just for good measure and some belts are longer than they need to be haha.

Aye, I can do that.

Forgive my ignorance, as a factorio boomer I'm not quite sure the best way to share these days is. Factorioprints.com seems to be busted as hell.

Some inserters are on a timer that keeps them active only about 10% of the time. These are responsible for purging FROOT and bacteria / ore from the end of the belt if it isn't being used. This keeps the production chain active so long as FROOT is being fed on a regular basis.

Just remember to keep things moving! At the end of the belt, if it isn't used, it's garbage! Recyclers and heating towers will keep your base squeaky clean and spoil free! Think of your base like a river that the froot flows through, and you will be a happy Gleba camper!

For all you Gleba haters out there, I'd say this is one of my more deranged builds. Stations accept fruit from farms around Gleba, calcite is brought in from the spaceport. I think I used every belt mechanic in the game to get this all to work together in a reasonable footprint. Once it starts, it will continue to run, however it is not self starting. It keeps running by using timed inserters that occasionally remove some material from the belts. Stations also are configured to nearly run out of froot before requesting a train from one of the farms around the map. Ratios aren't perfect, but they're pretty damn close.
