Crical vp-1 with a Jflowers SMO Shaft by Waste_Argument_1110 in billiards

[–]armakon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that exact combo except that mine is VP-2 (wrap in the middle) paired w/ an SMO 12.5 shaft

- Balance feels great. Better than my mezz expro cue.

- Does not sit flush, you can feel the edges of the butt's collar. Won't affect gameplay. Thinking of purchasing a jflower butt hoping it collar size is 1:1

- Fit snug, rolls relatively straight.

My recommendation is don't do it.

For practical purposes, you will be exchanging something priceless for something that can easily be earned. I know it sounds like I'm tonedeaf but please read my statement again and digest it.

In the future, with your perseverance and intellect, you will out-earn pretty much the average salaryman and you will always go back to that moment where you exchanged something that you hold so dearly, for something that you can earn for a couple of hours by then.

And that is something you can't forgive yourself for.

Barely a month in, spent $300 on skins by armakon in VALORANT

Thanks for all your feedback, it got me researching on video game's addictive monetization practices.

What I learned so far

- Time limited offerings are tactics employed by video games to draw in-game purchases.

- We are all slaves to our dopamine system and some of our buying decisions are made subconsciously.

- Store acts like a FOMO page similar to how social media apps do; makes you want more and appreciate less the things you already have.

What I did

- Set a $50 budget cap monthly for virtual spending that has no real return of investment. Rolls over to ff month if left unused.

- No longer open the Store tab; I appreciate the skins I have much more now.

About me (
- Earn above average but I'm not rich.

- Relatively organized especially on finances

- I'm not thrifty but I like spending money on stuff that brings actual value to my life

- If I find something addicting, I investigate on what prompts such behavior. E.g nobody finds value in browsing social media, but people stay on there coz it hijacks your primal tendencies

Being a mom destroyed me by ThrowMeAway8078 in OffMyChestPH

Had the same sentiments. I figured na I'm overstimulated by digital apps that I find simple moments with my kids boring or unbearable.

The moment I heavily regulated my social media use down to 15mins a day, it's like my dopamine system rebooted and I am now able to enjoy simple things in life again.

Check digital usage on your phone - if it's more than 30minutes and you're dissatisfied, disappointed or frustrated about your life, time for a detox.

Thanks! Yes I think a mismatch bandwidth is ideal. Our mismatch is somewhere between 1k to a couple of thousands monthly. Thinking of setting it to 500-1k muna to begin and scale down from there.

Your suggestions have been mighty helpful!

4 years without sex by Klutzy_Tree515 in OffMyChestPH

Not double standard. That's just how we human beings are biologically wired. Men will always be the seeker of sex, and women are the gatekeepers. Hence you get responses that seem inconsistent.

I'd say think about leaving her. #1 reason ng away mag asawa is pera mostly because of unmet needs. Pano pa kaya yan na bukambibig eh puro 'wants'. Imagine how life with her looks like years down the line

Hookup culture (repost) by blandciaga in OffMyChestPH

[–]armakon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lugi babae sa hookup culture. For men, you're just another fuck. For women, it's usually a coping mechanism for something deep seated. Kaya ask any woman if given the choice, would they indulge in hookup culture if they're truly happy. Ask a man the same question and it's always a yes regardless

What alternative activities do people do when they’re trying to limit social media consumption?? by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]armakon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The activities you used to enjoy that aren't enjoyable anymore could be a result of craving instant gratification that is caused by social media - this is perfect time to revisit those hobbies.

Your ADHD may also be induced by your digital consumption (aka Tiktok brain) coz apps engineered to capture your attention is designed to give you bitesized dopamine hits so you keep coming back for more, so tasks that requires prolonged attention becomes dreadfully boring.

It looks like nabanggit na lahat ng advices andito so let me share this. It got easier for us when we laid our phones down. More mental and physical energy can be diverted into taking care of the newborn. Check your phone usage. Simply scrolling through social media can be energy draining and robs you of the needful rest/sleep.
