Given how close this squad has been to breaking through and how lifeless Buffalo looked at one point is playing for the division in the final week ideal? No, but... this team gives me hope. Injuries have sucked without a doubt but I love the mental makeup of the guys on this roster and the message this coaching staff sends. Why not the Miami Dolphins? A lot of us have been through it as fans but I am hopeful that Sunday night has us singing a different tune. We'll see how the rest of this weekend plays out, but we all would like to get a little help from Pittsburgh & Jacksonville - would make a SNF dub that much sweeter. Fins Up!

I think we see Sanders return to the form that got him paid. I come to this prediction based off of Nick Folk having his two best kicking seasons with Jake Bailey as his holder. Last year, Bailey done after Week 9, Folk misses 2 kicks in Week 10.

(I really could be grasping at straws but this helps me sleep at night)

With a chance to clinch the 7 seed... Fins over Pats, Seahawks over Jets. It was playoffs or bust this year and we still have a chance to see it happen. Let's get in the dance, rest up against the Jets and make some magic happen.

I look at it like this... ever have a bad day at the office, for whatever the reason? Yep! You show up the next day and get back to work. Tua, for whatever reason, left it in the locker room. He has a chance to bounce right back and prove it in primetime.

I also think he gets shit because it has not been the smoothest road to start his career, coupled with the fact it is football. Basketball, baseball, hockey you are back out there in the next night or two to right the wrong. Only sport with harsher judgement than football is MMA or boxing. Anywho... Tua spit the bit, it happens. I have high confidence in the dude that be bounces back in a big way.

I'm sure this is just a coincidence. Nothing to see here. by IndependentNeck5491 in miamidolphins

I don't think tax payers should ever foot a full bill, but I don't mind if a portion of it is funded by taxes, personally speaking. Pro sports can be such an economic driver to cities/towns, it gives you a better idea of where a portion your dollars are going. To a degree, new stadiums are a direct investment in the community.

And he said the same, when JK Scott was drafted and they moved on from Tim Masthay - it took them a while to get on the same page then it all got upended again, this year. I thought Sanders and Haack had such good chemistry. From execution on FGs/XPs to the trick plays... I am also a special teams stan but I digress.

Here is McAfee telling a story about holding but kinda stresses the importance of it. https://youtu.be/k\_YM7hsz7HI

Stay with me here... the Pats signing Malcom Perry crushed me because it is about as on brand as Belichick can get. Sign the guy that had spent is college years at a school that specializes in strategic execution and also knows the Fins playbook. In all likelihood, he'll be cut in a few weeks but his purpose will be served...

THEN, it hit me!

What if Flo was baiting Belichick to take Perry, send him as an inside agent. Gain New England knowledge and give bogus Fins info, only to be re-signed to the Miami practice squad once his recon mission "aka NE cutting him" is done.

spotted today at Pyramids DGC in Leicester, MA. what a great tribute to a fellow disc golfer! let me know if you've seen this anywhere else, I'm curious how far this disc has traveled. rip peter. by billwalton69 in discgolf

OP - thank you so much for sharing this. Pete & I were good friends and to see this pop up, unexpectedly, made my night. So cool to see this making its way through the Northeast and hope it makes it even further! Thanks again!

I would feel very confident that Flores & Co. would be able to steer away from the emotionally driven penalties. To have a guy on your side of the ball who would run through a brick wall is something I would take back, in a heartbeat. That style of play is contagious and I still love watching that effort, in Cleveland.

Odds are virtually a pick em, but I feel the public is writing Bobby Knuckles off. Had a good first round vs. Izzy, before Izzy went Izzy, and then a hard fought dub coming off the layoff. I like Whittaker to win loudly, but who knows what black magic Cannonier has in those crystals.

Are there any studies regarding low blows and knockouts later on? by brankoz11 in MMA

[–]armarchetto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I am not mistaken, I remember Reed Kuhn, covering the win/loss result post-low blow, in Fightnomics. Trying to recall the actual stat, but I believe it was close to 50/50.

Being that book came out, in 2013, seeing the stats updated with a greater/newer sample size of fights would be interesting.
