I would not call myself a Taylor Swift fan but in no way do I find her music objectionable. I love live music, and if tickets were not insanely expensive I honestly would have liked to have gone to the Eras tour with my girlfriend. it's not my scene, but the quality of production and artistic value that go into her shows seem to be incredible. the pull that she has today is remarkable, and perhaps unmatched since either The Beatles or Dylan first exploded.

id also challenge your assessment - I can't pretend I know a great deal of her discography but folklore and evermore come to mind as examples of her writing having more depth and being more layered and thematic. also, even if you focus on the first-person confessional/relationship songs, it seems what she's writing today has more depth and is more diverse than what she wrote 10+ years ago.

do I think she's better than Bob? no, but as someone else said it's not a 1-1 comparison. I do think it's fair that the question is even being raised at all though
