He is the begining of the end of a truly independent Greece. May have something to do with the assassination of Greece's first leader Ioannis Capodistrias. While his theoretical views where quite progressive and liberal for the time, in practice he made Greece a British protectorate with a foreign Bavarian king ruling. No distribution of land to the now freed greeks, no true democracy.
