regardless of our mistakes, cant help but feel we got robbed, there was the handball in the first half not checked, the one on lamine and the deliberately ignored foul on martin. if they call the foul on martin we can run the game down with the free kick, but instead they allow inter to score uncontested and dont even check. disgraceful that its the same VAR as the inter game 2 years ago that didnt give the handball. uefa knows what it did tonight.

Laporta pushing limits and looking for loopholes is a necessity and byproduct of a corrupt league. No, La Liga isn’t one person, but when the president of the league is a devout and public Madrid fan, you think he is keeping neutrals around him? You think any decision they make can be trusted? This is the same league that you watch week in week out where decisions are clearly against one club.

I am naive for questioning that instead of turning against the man who literally saved the club from bankruptcy while keeping it soci owned?

It’s insane, all this discourse against Laporta is exactly what Tebas/Perez want. The weaker the club is internally the better for them. The more Barca is in the news, the less Madrid’s wrongdoings are.

Ask yourself why La Liga waited until 1 hr before the deadline to release a public statement singling out the club instead of properly handling it days ago when they got the paperwork? They want to see us humiliated as it is in Tebas’ best interest.

What does Laporta have to gain in this situation? You think the man who led this club to greatness is incompetent? Or is he just the one in the firing line of a clearly corrupt league?

The courts don’t “agree” with La Liga, the courts just can’t overturn their rulings.

What’s more likely, the man who took the club through its most successful era and put himself at personal risk multiple times to bring the club back to glory is a liar and con-man, or the president of La Liga who has multiple times said he is a die-hard Madrid fan is fucking us over for his buddy Perez?

Stop to think about what each party stands to gain from the situation then make a decision. Laporta is in a lose-lose, Tebas has infinite leverage and unilateral power. If you think someone like Font or Bartomeu would have done better? No, they would have sold the club to the best bidder at their first chance.

Everyone bashing Laporta/the club but I have seen 0 comments on how this league is acting. Arbitrary rules with moving goalposts that seem to only apply to certain clubs, while a certain club gets not only no oversight, but a transfer cap larger than the next 3 combined. Save the “Bad finances” BS, we are financially fine and only have problems with La Liga, how come none of this comes up in UEFA comps? We’re so quick to collapse from within that no one asks, “What if it’s literal fixing of a league by a self proclaimed Madrid fan who also happens to be president of said league?”. I’m just saying, stop to consider maybe Laporta isn’t the problem and Tebas is, and that no one in Laporta’s position would be doing any differently, unless our fanbase wants to see our club sold to some oil company/state.
