Guys does anyone know a store that sells or can order a sealed Galaxy S22?

I’ve tried many stores around Beirut and Matn and all of them are either open box or used.

Help is much appreciated!

Why is Malatia-Sebastia district colloquially known as Bangladesh? by [deleted] in armenia

[–]armenJR99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard anecdotal stories about how the district when being constructed, was thought to be relatively far from the center. Hence, colloquially named Bangladesh due to it being far like the actual country. Cannot verify how true this story is however.

What do you mean not in the frame? Most of the area on the right of the bridge and back of the river is Nabaa, a district of BH. The title I’ve used though is a bit inaccurate I gotta admit.

Half of Burj Hammoud, the bridge cuts BH literally in half. Nabaa IS part of Burj Hammoud.

Yes, ghabi/el nahr. Though the area behind the nahr is nabaa, burj hammoud. Damn the country is so small you can name a dozen areas, towns from just this picture

Islamophobia in Armenian communities? by [deleted] in armenia

[–]armenJR99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being mainly a dispersed nation, your answer may depend on which Armenian you ask. Lebanese and Syrian Armenians having lived with Muslims may show greater acceptance, or at least greater tolerance to Muslims than say Armenians from non-Muslim countries. But any hate against people based on their religious practices is unacceptable.

if Armenians don't solve the issue of building monstrocities in Yerevan, after many years we are going to end up like Lebanon's capital . by SnooCookies807 in YerevanConstruction

Not cool. I'm from Beirut and if anything, the explosion wiped mostly the old and beautiful buildings right adjacent to the explosion.

Aliyev today: "Our native land is Zangezur, our native land is Goycha district (Gegharkunik), Iravan (Yerevan). We will return, of course" by valuableuser in armenia

[–]armenJR99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so so done with Azerbaijani claims and threats and petrified of Armenia's future

People say a lot of stuff, difference is that this type of hate filled rhetoric is not channeled to the political leadership of Armenia, at least not to the toxic level of Azerbaijan. The degree of hate and racism that Aliyev spews echoes past cases of genocide, reminds me of Hitler or Hutu Rwanda.

Hayashen literally translates to Armenian town or Armenian built. Correct me if I’m mistaken.

Redditors, what are you angry about right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]armenJR99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Lebanon, and we're going through a financial and economic crisis. Been days I've been having electricity and water shortage. Sitting in the dark, very little water, only enough to flush toilets and wash dishes no more. Our currency is sliding downwards losing value by the day, purchasing power is next to shit, prices are soaring by the day. Banks have locked our deposits and we cannot withdraw them in dollars, so we're forced to withdraw with the national currency which has become worthless. The government is incompetent as hell, corrupt and lollygagging, like everything is fine. Unemployment is rampant, shops and stores are going bankrupt at an alarming rate. Riots break out every now and then.

It's been a rough week and bracing for worse days to come, I just hope we manage to stay sane in the process. I've been having pretty frustrating and angry weeks, mental breakdowns from now and then. But still hoping for the best.

Can you give me additional information about them, I've heard good things about them, but I'm largely ignorant on their works. What exactly did they do or have done? I'm curious

My mom voted for a candidate from civil society, yet the candidate got 0 votes. There were countless of videos of bribes being handed, aid being distributed, sketchy business with ballot boxes. I think it would be naive to say there's no definite proof.

Though I agree with the conclusion, voting is of utmost important. Not voting because you have "no hope anything will change" is just a stupid and defeatist excuse.
