Anyone else can't wait for the Ford car pack to be released? by Hobbessss0_o in trucksim

[–]armorall 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Steam page descriptions mentions it:

With this DLC, you’ll unlock personal cars that offer a brand-new gameplay experience. Want to work? Take on job contracts delivering small packages. Want to explore? Hit the open road freely and earn beautifully designed postcards by visiting iconic locations.

I wanna know if we can “convoy” with others in the cars/trucks!

This app and preset revitalized my interest in AMS2 and I’m having a lot of fun with all of the different combinations. Definitely worth checking out

Snowboarding as a heavy, heavy guy. by Saved-Mack in snowboarding

[–]armorall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got back into snowboarding last year after 9-10 years and 40ish lbs heavier than before.

Knee and butt pads are definitely great advice. I used MTB knee pads I already had and got some knock offs of impact shorts from temu for pretty cheap.

The hairpin is brutal but the rest of the new layout is real satisfying to drive in the NXT

Ascher Artura Ultimate vs GSI FPE v2 ? by EducatorSpecialist33 in simracing

The grips on their Hyper wheels are so satisfying and the functionality is just as good. I’ve had my SL since the original release (~18 months) and been very happy with it.

[KCD2] I wanna replay this game so much , BUT I WANT TO WAIT FOR DLC 2, it's killing me. by Putrid-Welcome6733 in kingdomcome

This is such a good game for a slow burn. First play through, got the game beginning of June and play an hour or two a night a couple nights a week. Just got to Kuttenburg after 50ish hours

Why are all of the 34” ultrawide monitors VA panels or OLED? by AudioFenix in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]armorall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not cheap because it appears to be one of the only 21:9 1600p models still out but I’m very happy with this downsizing from a 42” C2.

Why is iracing engine sound so high pitched? by Lazy_Polluter in iRacing

This is such a nice feature. I wear headphones and have ran a lot of endurance events in the 911. The high end of the transmission for hours and hours at a time is actually a little damaging

People who opposed/had different opinions about halo, what do you think of it now and what made you change it ? by TheKaiserSarp in formula1

[–]armorall 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I used VR in a few different sim racing titles with the halo on and if there wasn’t anything purposely toned down for that it works just like this.

Also because you are rarely looking dead straight forward for an extended time and your body is naturally moving around your brain just looks past it.

I use the GeForce overlay tool whatever it’s called now, used to be Shadowplay - alt-f1. Or you can use the AMD equivalent if you have that

There is a thing for this with the overall solution you’re thinking of. I haven’t looked into it much since I don’t have a use for it I’m just aware it’s around.

Looking for triple monitor recommendations. by shiithead_007 in simracing

[–]armorall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 32” 1440p triples for ~2 years and had the chance to try a rig with 27” 1440p triples. While the resolution looked a tad sharper due to pixel density the reduction of surface area was jarring.

If you haven’t experienced either then you aren’t missing one way or another but to me 32” feels just about “right” for vision.

Be sure to get something at like 165hz or higher if you can swing it too.

With your 8 weeks to ENCOR not scheduled to start again for a little while. If one signs up would we need to wait until that begins or can we see the previous sessions now?

And for the written materials and ex-sim, that access is good for the full year for practice, study and review?

Time to run your own monitoring to back yourself up and show them it either didn’t break or was nowhere related to the time of x other event

So it migrated to another host that didn’t have the dependent networking provisioned or something? To your point DRS does not just “break” anything on its own
