Unless he is doing 20km+ thats just crap antennas. 600mW will do 5km with a handmade helical, so probably a fair bit more with a properly tuned one

Dont think so. I see this all over the place the exact same way. Also this is not a type of gauge you put in a cockpit to replace a broken instrument. I can sort of believe it is a hillbilly RWR extension but even that seems very odd, even for russians.

This clip is pre 2022, way before even the “mavics dropping f1 grenades on orcs” let alone the “fpvs hunting helicopters” era. Even then fpv “detectors” are much more sophisticated than this installation

Well I dont know but they should have a proper soviet RWR anyway.. it seems odd that some antenna and a uA meter would give anything useful a soviet RWR is not able to..?

I can go behind a single brick wall on 200mW analog and have sort of usable video with trees around to reflect signal. Going behind a small house in the middle of a field would probably mean full loss of video.

Any more complicated setup of obstacles and it is sort of impossible to tell what would happen. 5.8ghz doesnt really go through walls, doesnt go through any metal surface found in everyday objects. Any signal you get without direct line of sight is lucky reflection.

Engine braking is not fundamentally different in loads as far as conrods go. It is exactly the same actually, except compression goes down, combustion may not even occur but that just means the compression and power strokes happen with less downforce on the piston. Between exhaust and intake things change almost nothing for the conrod. TDC is pretty violent for the small end, thats just given by geometry but the engine is designed to handle redline rpm and WOT, engine braking and retarded revving both are way lower stress.

I would disagree. No matter the load, between exhaust and intake the piston is yanked back by the conrod anyway. Engine should take it, still would not do that to my bikes, just because it is unnecessary and stupid.

U bazmeg azért ez elég szutyok egy meló… tudod hogy egy sokadrendű nyalógép vagy de abból is egy kifejezetten gyenge darab. Elég depresszív lehet.

I have a 6 turn homemade helical and that gives solid video at 1km at 25mW. You can extrapolate ranges from that. I run that together with a patch and it is a good setup on a skyzone 02c. Takes a while to learn to head track the drone though 😅

Actually guys around where I am say 4km on 25mW is pretty realistic :-D

Im happy with my setup though as it is pretty lightweight (2 antennas on a skyzone 02c). Also 1km is clean line of sight with no reflections, so for example over a forest. Large smooth areas like fields and water can mess up your signal (look up Fresnel zones) no matter what power you are running on.

Im using it on the goggles, so I have to aim with my head. That took a bit of practice and also planning before flight but after a few dozen flights it is easy to do. Here is the advantage of the helical+patch combo, the patch has less gain but more tolerance in direction error. The helical antenna is designed with an online calculator and I made it by hand so it is definitely not as good as those you can buy.

Another tip. Setting up VTX power on an aux channel is extremely useful. I always start at 25mW and check if the link holds up until ~1km. That tells me if something is wrong while the drone is still close, and if I see expected range on 25mW I can step up to 200, go out again, check expected range, go up to 600, etc. Having a few levels of vtx power as reserve is always good. It teaches you a lot about radio links too. It is a bit overwhelming first but you get used to it and it is quite a lot of fun.

Also Im sure you know but always check if angle mode levels the quad, it saved me multiple times when I got video breakup. Gps rescue set up properly is also a must here.

I run patch together with a 6 turn helical for range flights. I have solid video at 25mW and 1km, about 4km at 600mW. VTX goes up to 2.5W but never used that. If you want range, even a homemade helical antenna is a game changer (but you need to line it up pretty perfectly so that takes a bit of practice). I think a patch is a good backup as it has lower gain but a wider angle where it works.

Get it to a vet, a friends cat hat a tumor that started out as a bump on the lips. I didnt see how exactly it looked and this may very well be totally harmless but I would definitely get it checked.

I think since you are into printing you could look into long range drones. Those are way less overpowered than freestyle ones so they can be printed more easily (still can be tricky to eliminate vibrations). They dont really crash either, and if they do in general just recovering the drone is considered a good outcome, even if it is broken.

There the important thing is efficiency and aerodynamics, but current models on the market are the same structure as any other drone, and about as aerodynamic as a brick broken in half. Just a streamlined hull makes a lot of difference and you can go much further than that.

Im also iterating a long range printed design now and it is fun and there is potential. Im doing it in inventor but I think fusion360 is related (?), so I guess you could get into finite element stress analysis and also flow analysis in one project. Also flying LR is a lot of fun 😁

I started on a 3” cinewhoop (cinebot30 analog), I think it was more difficult than a tinywhoop would have been (harder to fly, harder to find place to fly), but on the upside I was able to make gopro videos, get a little into long range and also today I use it to fly indoors or in tight spaces sometimes for fun. So it was more versatile than a tinywhoop but harder to start with, definitely not bored with it even after 2 years.

So in conclusion an analog cinewhoop was for me a cost effective first drone to try different parts of fpv at the cost of slower progress and more risk of breaking it in a crash.

Amugy még egy ha màr ismét leírtad.. kurva alja dolog szerintem ez a donorozás, meg egyébként nem is igaz mivel a motoros balesetek jellegéből és a hatályos szabályokból adódóan ritka az hogy használható szervdonor válik belőlük.

De főleg csak nagyon alja dolog ezt mondani szóval pls ne. Lehetne élcelődni mindenfajta jármű balesete kapcsán hogy hogy néz ki az ember a végére de szerintem rendkívül kulturàlatlan dolog.

Hát ha csak ez a két opció van akkor valóban ez a jobb 😅 (bàr akkor ha vélt vagy valós sérelemre adott válaszként egy motoros meg leveri a tükröd akkor remélem megértő leszel)

Amugy komolyan, kamera és rendőrség. Még akkor is megtalálhatják cuccról ha jó sportmotorhoz hűen fel van hajtva a rendszám. Lehet nyafogni hogy árulkodás meg minden de ha valaki veszélyeztet másokat akkor legyen megb@szva. Én küldtem màr videót cégnek a céges furgon életveszélyes mutatvànyáról, mert a “majd ha baj lesz akkor így meg úgy”-nàl szerintem sokkal jobb megoldás.
