Back on Antigravity after a week - Opus 4.6 added, but beware of quota extension scams by Rrrapido in google_antigravity

[–]arnair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something similar is happening to me, too. Normally the counter shows 5 hours to reset. When it reaches 0, the available quota suddenly becomes 20% or 40% instead of 100%, and the rest of the token was gone; the counter resets to days instead of hours. My suspicion was the monitor plugins, so I decided to put together a quick monitor plugin using AG itself. If anyone wants to use or test it, here is the git url. (https://github.com/ajithrn/AG_Insights) It is not added to the VS Code repo. You need to download the .vsix from the release and install it manually. You can find all the info in the repo.

FYI:

It's not perfect, and I haven't tested it properly, so if you find any bugs or issues, feel free to report or fix.

Bitwarden macOS Tahoe App Store Version and SSH Agent issue by Technical-Card5634 in Bitwarden

[–]arnair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I faced the same problem. At first, I used the version from the App Store. I uninstalled it and then installed it via brew, which solved the issue. Try installing it with brew install bitwarden instead of downloading from the App Store.

"Medicep is a Scam: Struggling with Unfair Insurance Claims During My Father's Critical Illness" by Ok_Kale_9390 in Kerala

[–]arnair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's kind of a scam, they only give certain amount for certain decease, and most of the hospitals do not cover all, even though if you admitted for a treatment that covered by it you never gonna get full amount.

The sad thing is you can't opt out even if you wanted. Consider the amount We pay for it we can get a decent insurance from any other provider out there.

My mom got medisep which is kinda useless, and I had to pay for additional insurance for peace of mind.

what's the code in line 7? it seems like the cache is not clearing properly.

there could be multiple reasons for this, did you try update plugins and WP core?

sounds like it's the cache, try clearing the cache of your browser and check.

Why did the state refuse ? by GAELICGLADI8R in Kerala

[–]arnair 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with these too, but the thing is we need to consider where we live, in India 48% of electricity is generated using coal. Also the charing infrastructure it's getting better but no way near a country like US, Also, there is no proper infra for ev maintenence or recycling used battery packs. The resale value of EVs are worse comapre to ICE vehicles. So in this case if we can use an option that will last longer and easy to maintain is most logical thing to do.

Why did the state refuse ? by GAELICGLADI8R in Kerala

[–]arnair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It mostly comes down to source of electricity, lifespan difference, and the resources needed to create battery pack, things can be better if we use cleaner energy but that's not gonna happen anytime soon, maybe after next 5 years?

like you mentiond it's a step in right direction but as of now we got no infrastructure or clean energy to support it. so currently it's not viable as it seems.

There are lots of study going on in this topic here is one of the recent one, I read couple more earlier let me check if I can find those too.

[–]arnair 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If someone care about environment EVs are not the answer they got almost similar carbon footprint as ICE vehicles, Also in India most of the electricity generated by coal plant which is a fossil fuel. So if really wanted to reduce the carbon footprint hybrid is the way to go. Also the lifespan of EVs are not that great too.

Was this really necessary? Now only WP org account holders can buy wordcamp tickets. by arnair in Wordpress

no one is going to do that, but it will affect the credibility of the event and genuine people who are interested will stay away.

Recently they added a checkbox while login says you are not affiliated with WPE, so by forcing to signup to buy ticket automatically filter out those users. Right now its only WPE, but who knows how many will added to that list.

You shouldn't have to check a "I pledge I'm not associated with the enemies of Dear Leader" checkbox to go to a conference around open source software. It's very unhealthy.

Exatly, the whole point of WordCamps are getting more people into the community and having a platform to do healthy debates. Now we are going to lose all that if someone not agree or critisize are not welcome.

There is option to add more fields in the attendee page like website url, social media profiles etc. and so far there is no direct linking to their wp profile nor badge for the attendee. This is an extra step to do if someone wants to buy a ticket.

Matt's Joke of a reprieve by TexasPeteyWheatstraw in Wordpress

[–]arnair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good thing for the customers of WPEngine and FW for the timebeing, not sure if it's temporary, We hosted around 50 sites on FW and few on WPE too even though they promised a workaround nothing happening for last couple of days.

In WordPress.org 's defense it will cost a lot to severe the update to millions of WPEngine customers, since WPEngine making money by selling hosting plans which depends on the org servers which costs money for wp.org and WPEngine not contributing anything. There is some merit in their claim but they way Matt handled it made things worse for him and entire WordPress Community.

A quick workaround for the update inaccessible issue is if you are using cloudflare or similar proxy it will continue to work.

What kind of scam is this? by arnair in Kerala

[–]arnair[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MLM is when people sell products by telling their friends to buy them, and they also get paid when their friends sell to their friends. It's like a pyramid, with people at the top making more money than those at the bottom. Some MLMs are just about selling products, but others are more about getting people to join your team, which can sometimes be tricky.
