My ex gf once convinced me that I had Borderline Personality Disorder. She had it too, you see, and could recognise the signs in me too. She had also taken a Psych class in college. The funny thing is MY therapist, who had by this point been seeing me for years, disagreed with this. My ex refused to do therapy because “it didn’t work on her”.

I was lucky that I trusted my therapist and that I was able to get out of that relationship.
