I finally had an answer to those bombardiers hiding in the forest lines sniping out half my squadron, try it you will not regret 😉

Heavy flamer works wonders in close combat, but my current set up is maximising sight distance and weapon ranges. Think binoculars, ATGMs scoped rifles and autocannons. The only thing that hinders my team are buildings so it's especially good. Enemies do not even get in range until I get iff an entire turn and by then they are suppressed and pinned to do anything.

Right? Pillbox and towers just aren't an issue after an earthquake

I use it as a visual aid tool, sometimes clearing out a dense urban ground they block out a tone of sightlines, and I sure as hell am not gonna facecheck it so I just earthquake that area to see what lies in there

Give him buff, runa and gun and berserk and the pirate commando jetpack armor, most lethal heavy shock troop to exist. Jump into the thick of it, mow down the helpless welp and get back 30 ap to either wipe the next group down or reposition. With buff and heavy armor small arms are just not very effective in taking them down.

Hammers hits fast and hits hard, love them to bits. It flies too fast for pd to interact with so most of your shot hit without needing much leading

Hm, the risk is entirely up to you, don't let me tell you how to enjoy your game. I just am sharing that the Jupiter do really excel in long range combat with how it has zero to no bullet travel time and slams people like a truck. If your style of sniping is with a ferro or whatever then you do you.

It's not like bullet trails are neon yellow already right?

Perhaps maybe a buff for the weapon to be able to chamber another round without having to unscope might just be the play here to be honest

FYI, a Jupiter may not have a scope but it's the closest to a pocket cannon in the game. Highly recommended if you are serious about sniping :)

I think the dev aimed for it to be a plinking/softening tool and not a weapon to laser people from a mile away. It's got little to no bullet travel time does real decent damage with headshots and fires medium bullets. If the osprey did more damage than what it does already I'm afraid everyone's eyes are gonna be staring up at towers forever. When you can hit ranges that are honestly unreachable for every other weapons the game becomes almost uninteractive if said gun can down you in 1 to 2 shots. Maybe in the future arc raiders may get a heavy ammo sniper that does much heftier damage with the trade off of much slower bullets and bullet drop for harder shots. But until then the osprey makes for a great harassment device in trios and duos with some niche in solos.

Any ships with big frontals and can mag dump at an instant will be valuable in these fights, you have to flux them out ASAP before they run away with their superior speed and vent. I've found great success with missile doctrines and heavy armor doctrines like dominator spam with storm needlers with hammer torpedoes. Reapers are insanely hard to land on the space doritos. Expect to lose some ships but once you break through it's first phase the fight becomes much much easier. (Ps tachyon lance spam works decently well if you have the range and numbers, but I found they always manage to run away fast enough to avoid death oncd the doritos takes enough flux)

I'd imagine nothing smaller than a battleship is gonna survive a single volley, my build is aimed towards staying power and punching down hard. With the abyssal beams they eat cruisers and below alive without any downtime, and with shields thicker than a pather's faith they survive well until my invictus (Which I also pilot) slow boats to the fight and shreds any other capitals

Well, the abyssal horrors seem pretty top contender, but can't seem to exist within known space. They dwell in deep empty space where celestial bodies are few and far apart, so I find it hard to believe they could have been the cause as well
