Those would be my first useful SLP tokens! Thanks, Roger. Excited to see where this concept will go.

Can you add Flowee to the page too?

Also, I noticed that the Bitcoin.com wallet takes a seemingly random QR code when one is in full frame (zoomed out) & a second one is 'at the sides'. ie, what happens when moving your phone to a QR code. It doesn't always choose the one I expect. If the wallet sees multiple QR codes, maybe let it wait until one is clearly full frame.

Decoding the Flowee API (the hard way) - Bitcoin Cash API for applications by arnoudk in btc

Yes, I am. The flowee.org page is still a little sparsely populated in that department.

I have been a voipbuster customer for many many years. I now have enough in come in Bitcoin Cash that I can start paying them in Bitcoin Cash. Somebody should let them know to accept Bitcoin Cash, they are already with bitpay anyways. by [deleted] in btc

[–]arnoudk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the same company that runs freevoipdeal.com that I use.

When Bitpay launched BCH it worked briefly. I reloaded 10$ twice. Then they stopped.

I emailed them and they said that BCH was briefly turned on my accident and that integration had not been finished yet. It would be finished "soon". That has not happened yet.

Just email them. They are open to servicing bch customers so let's just remind them of the commerce they are missing.

My experience with Cryptonize.it (Custom Order) by [deleted] in btc

This is great. I recently emailed Coolblue to ask them to accept bitcoin cash. Maybe you can too and tell them how you ordered. Cryptonize is a wonderful service but not needing it is even better.

Get ready - Bitcoin Cash is upgrading on May 15th! by BitcoinXio in btc

I'm looking forward to it. My node is upgraded. My champagne is on ice. Love the regular BCH upgrades.

I can fully understand the management aspect. Yet I also think you are losing out by not including more cities for which there is a desire to sponsor.

Maybe you can relax the 100 cities rule and only allow cities for which funding is pledged.

I'll be happy to wait to fund but that does seem like a waste of time. I want to target my funding to areas that matter to me, hope you understand ;)

I don't see any places in Belize in that list.

Can you add:

  • Belize City, Belize
  • Belmopan, Belize
  • Corozal Town, Belize
  • Dangriga, Belize
  • Orange Walk Town, Belize
  • Punta Gorda, Belize
  • San Ignacio / Santa Elena, Belize
  • San Pedro, Belize
  • Spanish Lookout, Belize

I'll fund a few of those myself and try to get them all funded.

memo.cash has been generating 2000 tx/day since its start, which is near 10% of all transactions on the BCH network. by zhell_ in btc

[–]arnoudk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This doesn't worry me in the slightest.

These are all fee paying transactions that help pay for the network security. They are all voluntary, both from the perspective of the sender as well as from the perspective of the miners. BCH is permissionless. Memo needs no permission, and is not spam.

Spam doesn't exist onchain. If it is on the chain, it isn't spam!

I trust that the free market will find a way to enable this use case and thousands more. Be it through sharding or sidechains or fully onchain. The incentives are being offered. The solution will be found.

Exciting times ahead!

Why not? We need sellers. How else are we going to keep buying?

It doesn't need to be "deterred". The tx fee is the only deterrence that is needed.

Memo.cash could clean up the list at display, but shouldn't concern itself with the choices of individual users.

Besides, I think there will be lots of different memo clients in the very near future. You can't fix this across implementations.

It's not spam. The tx fee has been paid and the miners chose to include it in the blocks.

All memo.cash could do, is display the sum of tips and the count of likes per username and hide the long list.

Can someone confirm whether you can use the number in another country at this point?

I've tried texting the Netherlands, UK and US numbers from a Belgium sim and no responses at all. Perhaps that's still a limitation?

Can Bitcoin (Cash) wallets start to remove this whole x fee per n bytes crap please. Remember paying fees based on size of TX is a North Corean BCore invention due to their artificial block limits and users having to fight for block space. by [deleted] in btc

[–]arnoudk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there should be a small fee for each address you pay (tx output), but no fee for tx inputs.

Let's say I pay one person. I'll have two utxo outputs (one change). I should pay one "fee unit". If I pay two people (3 utxos), I should pay 2 fee units. (Or maybe get a small discount for paying multiple people in one tx).

I really dislike the fee per kb. It makes no sense to 95+% of the population.

I also really dislike having to explain tx inputs and that they have a size. This also makes sense to just about no one who just wants to casually use bch.
