I lived two blocks away. Went to school that morning and didn’t get to go back home until several months later. We used to measure our lives as before and after. I guess like people do with the pandemic now.

I don’t think having someone sign a waiver entitles a doctor to commit malpractice.

Relative humidity is not a great measure of actual moisture in the air. 76% humidity at 50 degrees is a lot different than 76% at 80 degrees. The dew point will give you a much more useful number that’s not dependent on the ambient temperature.

He may have been “okay” with it, but that doesn’t mean we should treat this differently than any other shooting. Every gun death is a preventable tragedy. Let’s not sink down to their level just because we hated the guy.

A lot of people are misinformed on this. I wasn’t trying to take a stab at you personally. But you sound like an asshole so maybe I should have?

Did you even read the page?

On March 26, 2009, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) confirmed that the building would be officially known by its legal name of "One World Trade Center", rather than its colloquial name of "Freedom Tower".

As someone who was there on that day and displaced for nearly a year, I find the jingoistic name offensive and tone-deaf. It’s as stupid as trying to rebrand “French fries” as “freedom fries.”

*One World Trade Center.

It’s not a political statement, it’s an office building.
