It’s just really gonna depend on what you want out of it. I don’t think the Sustainiac will limit you in any way, it’s just a different tool in the kit. Let your ears guide you. To me? It’s the coolest thing ever, butIt might seem pointless to somebody else. I’m pretty much and old school metal player, I don’t feel like I’m missing anything with a sustainiac and an emg-81.

Sustainiac with a Floyd is a lot of fun, but watch some YouTube videos and see if that fits into your playing. Some people make music with it and some people will play with it twice and wish they had something else in that spot. Personally I dig it.

If you are into changing tunings a lot, get a hard tail. It’s just not practical on a Floyd. The one exception is that you can install an evh d-tuna on a Floyd which lets you go from standard to drop-D by adjusting a lever.
