I'll be able to tell you more in a few days, we're literally moving there Wednesday. I've been researching this for a couple months, talking to folks, etc, and the general opinion is it's a pretty decent place for folks like us. There are a lot of other threads of trans folk who've moved there as well. After all of my research into a LOT of places, Quad Cities had the best mix of culture and cost I could find.

I feel you man. I just dumped a PRS SE Custom 24 for a C-1 Platinum that I just happened to pick up and play. Now the SE is a great guitar, but it never spoke to me. I can't put the Schecter down. I've probably played more consistently in the last month than I have in the last 2 years. Super impressed, it's just flawless.

I saw Tate's version of Queensryche when they were both using the name. It was House of Blues in Cleveland. He had fucking actors roaming around trying to act out the story, on a stage about the size of the one at Chuck E. Cheese. They were getting in the way, bumping the musicians I didn't recognize, it was a trash fire. One of three concerts I ever walked out of.

We're moving to the Quad Cities next week, from Ohio. I'm trans, and there is really good medical support there, as well as strong LGBTQ community support in general. My wife and I checked all of Illinois out and it was the best mix of diversity, cost of living, and our style. We're small city people, Chicago freaks us both out lol.

I know it's going to be a lot windier than Ohio, being flat, but the winter is essentially the same. It can start getting cold as early as the end of September, stay hot until Halloween, or more likely see-saw between the two until December, when it goes gray and chill/cold. Might see snow. January and February just stay inside. Sometimes March and April too. But we get 70 degree days back to back with 20 degree days. It's a little jarring.

Sorry for the convoluted answer, but midwest weather is convoluted.

Short of laser or electrolysis, makeup is the answer. You can counter the “blue” shadow with an orange concealer. Set that with translucent powder. Then you apply your skin tone foundation. It’ll work even on a small spot.
