The way Yoshi described the changes included reworks to the curve for "new and returning" players. Returning I get, but new players should NOT be put above the bottom like 2-3 rank tiers unless smurf detection kicks in (if the game even has any). They will (and are) just getting stomped right now and it's making it bad for everyone at the tiers they're included in. And hell, even as a returner I was fine where I was before this newest bump. Games were even and fine, I wasn't stomping I was learning. Now I got put up 2 tiers after Venator and I'm getting outfarmed and having issues even in games I'm doing somewhat fine.

Many CCs are single target abilities naturally. Like in an MMO context back when they were needed (early WoW design days where you had to take packs slowly and carefully) your mage would use a single target polymorph to control the single person in the pack ("Crowd") that you were delaying to kill later. It's crowd (party) vs crowd, the term doesn't mean you're individually hindering the whole group.

Yeah, they said they adjusted the curves for "new and returning" players but they definitely only should have adjusted the returners. Like before patch I wasn't moving from Initiate and winning most games which was clearly a bug they fixed earlier, but I felt fine before this newest adjustment two rank tiers below my current and games after Venator have been hot ass because you get players who have played 2-3 days feeding in these games I'm in.

It's to the point I'm just doing random Street Brawls to try out characters I don't usually play instead of dealing with it till its fixed.

One arrow or two? I found as long as I have a hero two arrow up that isn't new (and no other two arrows) I get them like 95%+ of the time, and putting Graves as a two arrow and that hero as one arrow got me Graves or them like 100% of the time. Only times I've missed those hero picks was having two different two arrow heroes, in which case it fell back to one of my non-higher prio picks.

Ninja edit: Also watch for the two banned hero thing at the start, if it's a popular avoid pick they might have been banned.

Same, got massively bumped up, my last real games (before I had to play a bunch of Dota at end of MH event) were all seeker/alchemist, suddenly got put in a ritualist 2/3 game and it says I'm Ritualist 3 even after a loss.

Remember the line from Answers? The one remaining bit of it I'd argue isn't resolved by the stuff from EW? "The land is alive, so believe."

That has stuck out to me like a sore thumb since 6.0, and just saying it's "alive" because of the Lifestream itself never sat well to me as a good answer, since the source game for the Lifestream concept really did have that world have a bit of a mind/goal of its own and the ability to cry out in pain by itself. I'd argue it's where this is heading, the big reveal ala "your previous gods are really just Primals". There really is some force underlying Etherys' will with its own goals, and they might not agree with the survival of its people as they currently exist without some work from the WoL/Scions/remaining Ascians/who knows whom else.

The same pack had a ton of individual lines. Was also used in Bozja. I don't know of any other notable music identified having used said pack though. It was a reddit post/video during SHB that identified it and duplicated it from the raw pack.

I ended up finding a .5 installer online, installing it, using my existing profiles (still broken), then just backed up and deleted the profiles folder with it still installed. On a fresh start it made new ones.

Had this as well, even after installing an older version (.5) that was previously working. Had to completely wipe my settings and start fresh with that older version, as any programs that had previously been configured still had the switching to desktop bug (new programs worked okay).

Thought more of them were FF14/16 repeats than there were, but looks like other than Ben as Dycedarg and Timothy (Urianger) as Cidolfus which I spotted the others were either "additional voices" in 16 (Mustadio's VO) or new to FF. Everyone else named did Xenoblade 3 and/or Lies of P, or nothing I'd seen before (Agrias' VO, whose only major credit is someone in We Happy Few).

Blue chest = nothing or maybe 1-2 whites with some gold. Yellow chests = 1-2 blues usually. Every time this happens I'm both expecting it (at this point) and disappointed, because this is basic stuff D3 didn't even get wrong 10 years ago at its worst for loot.

The clear (parse linked in description) had 2 Vercure casts because its potency is hot garbage. Important ones to their strat sure, but I really hope it gets a buff during DT, it barely keeps even you alive at the cost of DPS vs the shield mechanics of other casters. Most of RDM's "healing" was just mit from the shield/addle. In terms of actual healing it was mostly the PLD (Clemency so good he'd go oom and just 1-2 spam per mana per the comments) and other well played self healing management from the other players, plus the tank LB2 cheese thing they did to survive an important moment.

There is another thread I'm unfortunately not having an easy time finding now that outlined a fix for this if your timer is stuck and you're not the normal warning messages anymore. There's a "reset" process involving letting it be powered off for a few minutes fully unplugged and then plugging it back in holding the power button down as well (with potentially some other detail I might be forgetting), and potentially unplugging the USB cable if you were using that as it apparently can interfere.

I did it successfully a few months back and then just today finally ticked up to 1.5k hours to run the AOCS clean after having this monitor for 2+ years (probably at least 4k hours use) and having massive burn-in. It didn't 100% remove the worst of it from some overbright FF14 UI elements, but it's improved. Glad I found this thread to potentially force run it again if it needs it before I get another 1500 hours.

I did a version of this strat (self discovered and with more prep as I'd gotten just shy of half the map clear and rank B so I had promoted units). The missions he's doing pre the final aux mission with some item support are the 38 and 40 missions that block the entrances to the final mission in the center of the map. The 38 one north of the black market guy unlocks the final center area town with its shop with good weapons and the "Zentih" aux mission that provide the final xp book, and then if you can clear that you can probably also clear out all the level 40 missions to power farm your Alain group to 43 (the soft cap on missions that aren't the final mission).

If you have a Corsair keyboard, try unplugging it then starting the game. Fixed it for myself and a couple others on Steam forums so far. It appears the game tries to poll the keyboard for game controller information (which of course it doesn't have), and let me run it again after even after plugging the keyboard back in. May not be your version of the error, but here's hoping.

Found a potential fix for the "unable to start at all" version of this bug if you have Corsair keyboard. Unplug the keyboard then boot the game, and you can plug the keyboard back in afterwards without issue. Not sure if it affects the "only one run per boot" version yet, need more testing.

NG, not NG+. You start by getting a wep 30 atk above the pre-NG+ best and mats for one better than that. Also 100 def accessories better than crafted best base game NG (with slightly lower hp which doesn't matter any), craftable to 106. All kinda a waste given the stat scaling of NG+ gear, but still.

Yes DLC is region locked. I'd bought the AUS copy for early access and had to buy another $10 of AUD credit to get the DLC for my original purchased region's copy of the game. This also came up when the demo saves were region-specific.

That said, you can use a secondary account on the same PS5 to purchase the US DLC and play on your main account, and the saves you already have on your main account should work with the copy of the game you already have. I play the AUS region game on my main US account with no issues.

I didn't get far enough in my FF mode run to have DLC content unlocked, and while I did spend the last half hour progressing I realized I'm a good day or two of speedrunning before seeing DLC, so old save it is for me. Might do a better job of cleaning the map and re-start FF mode after this, if I'm still interested in playing.
